Follow a moderate or a hard training plate based o your training load. More carbs for longer more intense training!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then focus on your pre and post workout plan! Can you sneak in more energy before training so you are able to do more in training? Have a hydration plan, well more like a hydration routine. BIG 40lb PR today for @masondudley on back squat 💪🏼🔥!!! • We’ve been focusing more on Mason’s skill lately as he’s began making the transition into some competitive #Weightlifting , so this was very unexpected as we haven’t challenged his squatting much since the start of COVID (and ESPECIALLY his back squat ). • Here he smokes a nice 139k/305lb back squat for his first ever 300lb squat (his previous was 120k/265lb 😅 ). • I’m excited to see Mason progress over this next year as a weightlifter, as his progress it’s about to become scary as he just he’s barely 16 y/o 😈💪🏼!! What to Do - Listen to the video (insert your sport and it’s demands in place of football ) - Study the sport/activity and measure the time of the highest physical exertion/intensity and the amount of rest time between each effort, how many times does it happen each game, use maximal recovery (progress from there slightly longer reps, or decreased rest ) - It’s easier to manage undershooting than it is to recover from overshooting (less is more or efficiency and effectiveness over “hard work” ) - Remember what the athletes are training for or what they aren’t training for - Remember that athletes aren’t robots built for maximal output at all times. They are complex human beings. I think it’s important to remember that athletes are also human What Not to Do - Kill your athletes for the sake of making training “hard” or “tough” or whatever descriptive word you want to use - Condition for mental toughness or to build character - Rack up excess volume (additional exercises - time consuming - energy demanding ) that the athletes are unable to tolerate or shouldn’t be doing in the first place. Stress is stress is stress is stress and there needs to be time to recover in order for adaptation to occur. In most cases recovery from training requires rest. This video is from Nebraska football’s S&C program and was circulating on Twitter the last week or two.

Rollercoaster start to round 2 and 3 of the @wsk_promotion Euro Series. Being fastest in the first practice overall we went in to both qualifying sessions with high hopes. Like other drivers we had issues with tyres.
