Copyright rules always get me 🖕🏼 I remember the first time I ever trained chest. I could barely lift my arms for a week and promised I would never do it again. Now it is one of my favourite body parts to train 🤷🏽‍♀️ If you want an all round balanced physique then girls you need to train chest 👍🏼 ITS NOT JUST FOR THE BOYS 🙌🏼 - - • Bench press 4x15 • Dumbbell flys 4x15 • Dumbbell press 4x15 • Standing pallof press 4x15 • Press ups - until failure 😅 - choose reps and sets that suit you, but also remember that you need a slight challenge. In the gym I do 4x8 of these, but that’s because I’m able to add more weight. -All these exercises can be improvised by using simple stuff you can find at home, such as bottles or if your lucky some tins of beans 😅 I recorded parts of my actual workout today, otherwise I would have shown alternatives (although I don’t have any tins of beans🙃 ) #lockdownproblems - - #training #lifestyle #workout #fitness #chestworkout #chestday #workoutroutine #homeworkout #gymsharkwomen #transformationtuesday

Just trying to keep as much laughter and fun through this uncertain time as possible. But I really wanna go to the gym, hug my friends, go out to eat, and GO TO WORK. I’m trying to keep myself as busy as possible though and I just keep telling myself that “this too shall pass.” Because it will. ☺️ Today is actually a rest day for me (thank goodness ), but here was last night’s core workout! Triset #1 : 1. Weighted toe reaches - 15-20 reps 2. Dumbbell side bends - 12-15 reps per side 3. Mountain climbers - 30 seconds Triset #2 : 1. Stability ball rollout - 15 reps 2. Stability ball transfers - 12 reps 3. Plank jacks - 25 reps Triset #3 : 1. Deadbugs with stability ball - 12 per side 2. Superman 2-3 second holds - 12 reps 3. I haven't been sharing my workouts as I have started to incorporate resistance bands along with some weights. This does require me moving around the house and it's starting to get a little difficult to share the whole workout. Working out at home has meant I am having to be a little more creative in terms of how I still do the workouts. Today was back day. Workout consisted of: - Deadlifts with resistance bands - Straight arm pull downs with resistance bands - Bent over rows with resistance bands How has this lockdown made you get creative with your workouts? Lifting weights is a great exercise. It helps to build muscle, which in turn helps to support your body and posture, and keep you strong. It also helps you to maintain a healthy weight. So, what could be bad about it? Any time you lift pretty much anything, you run the risk of hurting your back. When you’re on your way home from the gym you should feel strong, not be in pain from something amiss in your back. When you experience pain due to lifting weights, it is most often due to poor technique or poor posture as you lift. For example, if you round your back during exercise, it can place your hips at an angle that puts more stress and strain on your ligaments. Add some weight and you’ve created a perfect storm for muscle strain and pain when you’re finished. You should practice caution when you do any kind of squat, deadlift, snatch, and clean-and-jerk exercises. Specific guidelines that are useful in helping to prevent back injury include: Use less weight, but do more repetitions when lifting weights Consider using a training machine rather than free weights for certain weightlifting exercises. This point is important to discuss with both a spine specialist and trainer, understanding there is a trade-off A machine may reduce stress on the back (for example, quadriceps done sitting at a machine versus squats holding weights ) and can generally be used by someone with little or no supervision But free weights add proprioception (self-regulation of posture and movement in response to the free weights ) that a machine does not.
