If you ever find yourself in the Durban area (South Africa ) and looking for a massage therapist, I highly recommend this true professional and specialist in her craft. I had such incredible pain in my right knee, lumber spine and right Achilles tendon. So much so that I was concidering surgery and a knee replacement. 2 hours with her and it's been over a week and no pain at all and flexibility and mobility has been restored. The Fridays for Future strike started with imposing music. They screamed for "climate justice now". 🌍 Climate justice examines the issues such as equality, human rights, collective rights and climate change. An important concern is that, those who are least responsible for climate change suffer its gravest consequences. ⚠️ These consequences are fresh water and food production shortages, floods, storms and heatwaves, intense rainfall or snowfall, drought, plant and animal extinction, increase in water-borne diseases, malaria and malnutrition specially in poor countries. 🧑 It took a 15 year old girl (with Asperger syndrome, obsessive–compulsive disorder, and selective mutism ) for politicians to act more on climate change. Greta Thunderberg, the founder of #fridaysforfuture , started a school strike for climate, when she was 15. She sat outside Swedish Parliament every school day, demanding urgent actions on the climate crisis. ▶️ Climate justice is complex and interconnected with numerous issues. You kinda had to be there; perched cliffside high above the foamy, sloshy sea. Chances seemed very obviously slim that the guy next to me would catch anything but a rock. I could not help but giggle and wonder. He was well equipped, like too well, organized backpack and all. It has two things good for your physical and emotional wellbeing: a nourishing meal and reinforcing social connections. When I travel I try to bring home something beside my cheesy magnets. 🧘 MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION 🧠 Stress is defined as how we respond when our needs are not met, for me meditation is an antidote to that stress. Let's be honest: there are a lot of things in a single day that may turn our minds to think negative thoughts 🧠. All of us fight this battle in some way or another 💂‍♂️. But the good thing is we have all the capability to help change our focus. My daily practice is to make an attempt to get my zen on. I started making this a ritual in high school, and it's helped immensely throughout my life, especially during times of high stress and anxiety. Everyday, I take out ten minutes from my life to indulge in meditation. If you've never meditated in your life and want to give it a shot, know that it will seem quite ordinary at first and will take some time for you to get used to it 🧘‍♂️. You can get help from different apps such as Headspace, Calm or Breethe. These apps are a great guide for beginners as well as for daily practitioners. Don't make it too hard on yourself. You don't have to go to a cliff, sit in lotus position for an hour and chant om. It can be as simple as sitting on the floor anywhere peaceful in your home and concentrate on your breathing🧘‍♂️. I try to find 10 minutes every morning: it clears my mind, boosts my energy levels and gives me perspective. This in turn helps me be more mindful of the things I do for rest of the day. Soon after I started meditation and made it an integral part of my wellness routine, I began to notice that both meditation and mindfulness go hand in hand. Because meditation can help in leading a mindful life. From my personal experience, I can vouch that just 8 to 10 minutes of meditation every day can transform your brain, your being and in fact, your outlook on life. 𝐀𝐋𝗪𝐀𝐘𝐒. ⁣ ⁣ There will always be days where you don’t feel like training, you choose to snooze the alarm instead of your morning run, you were in a rush so grabbed what food you could or you overindulged on your friends birthday cake. ⁣ ⁣ This doesn’t mean you’ve failed though. ⁣ ⁣ And certainly shouldn’t ever come with guilt. ⁣ ⁣ Why?⁣ ⁣ Because 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬. ⁣ ⁣ In order to succeed you need to accept that these situations are always going to happen. You cannot be perfect every single day. ⁣ ⁣ There are always going to be obstacles along the way but it’s about 𝘩𝘰𝘸 you tackle those obstacles. ⁣ ⁣ You haven’t failed just because you’ve listened to your body or actually enjoyed an occasion.
