Fuelling my body with proper nutrition before working out will allow me to train harder and make the most of my workout. While we all have different nutritional requirements, these known foods which have the perfect balance of fats, carbs and protein - they can stave off hunger, fuel your body, fight fatigue and even aid recovery. At the moment I am training and focusing on building muscle 💪 so here are some of my favourite pre-workout foods. Yoghurt 🍓+ Fruits. 2014 2017 2020 Dealing with PCOS these last years really took a toll. I’m so thankful I found medicine that helps and that I have health insurance that helps cover some of it. Without insurance it’s $3,000/month. The changes here in the photos are physical, but I feel like I have my life back and am not “stuck” and just spinning my proverbial wheels anymore. I did some actual cooking tonight! I made this lovely fish pie. I softened up onion and garlic and added sautéed mushroom and pan fried salmon along with peas and sweet corn for the vitamins. I covered in a homemade béchamel and mashed sweet potato and topped it all off with grated cheddar and Parmesan before grilling. This is definitely a higher calorie meal so portion size had to be controlled! Another full body home workout coming at you! I really like this one because it incorporates ways to make the movements more challenging. Whenever you pause or pulse take time to really focus on the muscle you're engaging - you'll feel the burn even better! _ FULL BODY  @ HOME I 3 sets of 15 reps each I rest :30 between each exercise _ ⚡️ALTERNATING DEFICIT LUNGES WITH PULSE - you get better range of motion with your foot elevated on a step, pulse at the bottom and you'll feel it even more in your glutes. ⚡️SINGLE LEG CONSTANT TENSION DEADLIFTS - these are so hard!! Balance on one foot and keep your weight towards your heel, your leg will stretch and keeping constant tension on the back of the leg will fire up your hamstrings. ⚡️PUSHUPS TO THE GROUND WITH PAUSE - go slowwwwwly on these, I have a hard time with pushups as it is so I opted to go on my knees. Keep your core tight and don't rush! ⚡️MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS - try to keep your hips down and really concentrate on your abs, the speed should be moderate but not all out. ⚡️LAT PULL-INS WITH PAUSE USING SLIDERS - you can use paper plates (or rags on hardwood ). Keep your arms just slightly bent and pull back using your lats. You'll feel this in your shoulders, lats, and low back. ⚡️BICYCLE CRUNCH TO ROW YOUR BOAT - get your shoulders blades off the ground on each rep, you'll feel this all over your abs! ⚡️CRAB WALK ALTERNATING TOE TOUCHES - core and shoulder burn out to finish! _ 🎶14 Hours by GoodNight the Satellite

Happy then & happy now! I was really happy at 245 pounds (even if I wasn’t smiling on my before picture ). This is not to glorify unhealthy habits, but to say me looking obese was never a reason for me to lose weight. I am aware that “big bodies” aren’t seen as attractive in a fat-phobic society, but I never felt that way about myself. And neither should you. There are positive & negative impacts of before-and-after pictures. It sucks other people use before and afters to fat shame, and unfortunately I don’t have control over that, but I treat these with all my love for who I was and who I am and who I’ll continue to be. These before and afters are to celebrate my own journey to a healthier and fitter body as I lose fat & get fit. (The afters are NOT synonymous with “prettier” and my befores are not “ugly” ). Fitting into a new size, and losing fat and fitting into clothes easily now because my body is leaner and fitter is a great thing! I’m so happy being a size 8, as I was when I was a size 16. And I’ll be happy if I get to a size 6 or a size 4. And if one day I change sizes again, and compare size 8 and size 6, and it won’t be a reflection of hate or fat shaming, but a reflection of work put into fitness, muscle, fat loss & the healthy habits I was able to maintain. Hopefully!
