This post is all about activity and I’m talking specifically here about how NEAT can aid your weight loss goals. . . If you swipe left to the next slide I have explained what NEAT is in a nutshell but I just wanted to give you a little bit more understanding. . . For many they get their training plan and macro/nutrition plan and all is great but weight loss is slow or they find they are maintaining their weight. Especially if you have 1 session a week with your coach and aren’t keeping up with your own sessions during the week. I can’t stress enough how much increasing your NEAT level will have a huge impact on your weight loss goals. . . You may think that the hour you spent in the gym makes up for sitting at your desk for 8-12 hours but the reality is some gym sessions could only burning around 300-400 calories and we consume more like 2000. This can then lead to the mindset of its ok to do nothing when I get home or to order food in because you’ve completed that hour. . . Research has shown that NEAT can vary by up to 2000 calories a day between 2 people of the same size. So by you moving around more, walking instead of driving, doing the garden, taking the stairs, hitting your step goal, all these activities you could burn 2000 calories without even trying simply by moving more! . . #weightlossmotivation post for who ever needs it! Lately i’ve given myself a bit of shit for putting on a few pounds, making bad food choices and not working out at home as much as I know I should. Everyone is having a difficult time right now and putting on a bit of weight in the grand scale of things really doesn’t matter!! However, I’ve come too far to fuck it up now, it’s a lot easier to put it on than it is to get it off. Ive now put on half a stone, taking my total weight loss to 4.5 stone down which is still pretty incredible but I’m drawing a line under it and getting back to my 5 stone achievement, not let it slide to 4.....or 3.... or worse!! 🤣 Wish me luck!! #transformationtuesday ✨ I don’t put these pics next to eachother to see how fat and ugly I used to be. For me pictures are captured memories. So looking at the left pic makes me feel sad. I remember being soooo insecure, I hated the way I looked and I wanted to hide myself in oversized clothes 24/7. It also makes me super proud, it was at the beginning of my selflove adventure 💕 I took off my baggy shirt and eventhough I hated my body, I tried t accept it and take a selfie because I killed my workout 🏆 . This road to completely accepting and loving myself took me thousands of baby steps. Most in front but also many steps back, when I cried looking at the mirror and stuffed myself with chocolate 😓 . When I finally got to the point where I could look at myself with compassion and without judgement everything changed. I felt so relieved and I started working on my goals because I wanted the healthy lifestyle that my body deserves. I no longer tortured myself wit crazy restrictions and negative self talk, I was kind and loving 😍 My frustrations and insecurities disappeared and so did my daily binge attacks. My shape all of a sudden became less important which seemed to be the key to losing weight 🗝 . I still have ups and downs but 1 thing is always steady: the unconditional love I feel for myself ❤️ Knowing that I always got my own back gives me so much strength, but also trust. Trust that I will never allow myself to go back to that unhealthy lifestyle on the left pic! Focus on your mental and physical health, in stead of the way you look. We may never get another opportunity to have as much time to focus on ourselves as we do now.▫️ • I get a lot of questions about my journey on what the turning point was or my why of why I started to lose weight.▫️ • My why was for a number of reasons. Personally I wasn’t happy, I knew I was unhealthy at the size I was at but I did nothing about it. I was also unhappy mentally because of how I thought about myself and from what I had heard others say about myself.▫️ • You can honestly be happy no matter how big or small you are because you have the power to be happy as long as you love yourself. You don’t have to make a change because of what others think of you. I personally HAD to and WANTED to make a change because of health concerns and not being happy with my overall state.▫️ • I was always scared to make you that change, but a few moments changed my life. At first I thought they were embarrassing moments but I am now thankful for them. The first moment was having to get an extra seatbelt on a plane because I wouldn’t fit in the seat (those seats are small in the first place ). That second moment was on a class trip and where I got kicked off a ride for being too big and not being able to be locked in.▫️ • These were just the moments that helped me move towards a healthier lifestyle. I made these changes for myself, not others.▫️ • You can’t get the courage to start without some vulnerability. You can do hard things and nows a great time to start. If you do start out towards a healthier lifestyle for you, enjoy the journey and celebrate the small moments and achievements. You only get one life to live so make the most of it!

DO NOT compare yourself, your progress or your weightloss journey to anyone else’s...WHY? Because they are not you! 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s so easy to scroll Instagram and see what everyone else is doing and feel disheartened with the progress your making but truth is a transformation photo never really gives a full picture of what’s going on. I could literally post this photo and portray that it was really easy, that it only took ‘X’ amount of time and all it took was to cut back on the snacks and work a little harder in the gym - WRONGGG ❌ There are 4 years between these photos. 4 whole years of hard work, failures, set backs and finding what works for ME 🙋🏼‍♀️It’s definitely not been a smooth process; from binging, over exercising, restriction, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, hypothalamic Amenorrhea...oh I’ve been through it BUT you would never know that just looking at these 2 photos back to back 👀 Everyone is on their own journey, everyone is fighting their own battles and just because it looks like someone has it all figured out doesn’t mean they necessarily do!!!
