wow, I really struggled with week’s #beforethepen spread. Not my favorite, but I got it done. My October theme is Boss Babe. Although the holidays will be bit different this year, I wanted to focus on work this month before the busy holiday season rolls around. I think October, that transitional time between easygoing summer & cozy fall and busy holiday season is the perfect month to get organized, stay focus, and get lot done so you can enjoy the holiday season. . For the third full week of October, I used the @the_happy_planner Rad Teacher Grande & Cool to be Kind sticker books to create this spread. I wanted to use these two together to combine my October theme and add a bit of fall color, but didn’t turned out the way I had imagined. What do you think? Before the pen this week: I enjoyed a nice break from Social Media last week and I found lots of extra time to tackle projects I've been putting off. It was very eye opening to take notice of just how much time I have been spending online! And the biggest thing I noticed was that nothing bad happened and I didn't miss out on anything while unplugged!! But I did gain lots of time for myself and space between my mental health and all of the triggers in the media right now. So do yourself a HUGE favor and plan some time unplugged!!! 🖇🐥❤

Day 2 is here of the live well and be well wellness challenge! . Did you know that it actually takes about 20-minutes for your stomach to send the signal to your brain that it’s full? . That’s why in today’s activity we focus on hunger cues by using our scale to help gauge where we are. . Ideally we want to always be at 5 but sometimes our life gets so hectic and we bounce dramatically from 2 to 10. Which also impacts our energy levels. . ⁣Had a return to make at the mall yesterday and passed by @winners and @homesensecanada to take a quick look around. This has always been my favourite pass time while on maternity leave. Well, it’s always one of my favourite pass times 🤷🏻‍♀️🛍 BUT, there is something extra special about leisurely strolling those isles with a @starbuckscanada coffee in hand, pushing a stroller and looking at everything without having to rush. Too bad corona is cramping my style. 😷😕 ⠀ ⠀ On the other hand, it was nice to “dress up” (this is my fancy hoodie 😉 ), put some makeup on and get out of the house even for a little bit. ⠀ ⠀ I was feeling like staying in and being lazy, but decided Monday was a good day to set some goals for the week and get some things accomplished. (This includes my returns which tend to be something I slack on ). ⠀ ⠀ Pushing myself to get out even though I didn’t initially feel like it set the tone for my week. Sometimes finishing even the simplest of tasks can motivate you to tick off more things on your list. Truth Tuesday: I did not want to get out of bed this morning. When that alarm goes off, and it’s still dark outside, well you know.....😴😴 But, knowing that my crew was there, waiting for me, ready to push play.... I could not let them down. No excuses. Do you have weekly goals? On Sunday I decided I want to start doing interval sprints in the mornings. With the gyms being closed here for another month or so, I have some free time on my hands. My goal is to run at least 4 times a week. Here I am halfway through today’s run. I never liked running. I’ve always preferred the weight room, but with the gyms being closed I have to be creative with my workouts. So I decided I’m going to give interval sprinting a shot. What I like about this style of running as opposed to long-distance runs is the impact it can have on my lung capacity, AKA making my lungs get better at handling the higher intensity. Since my goal is run as fast as I can, I’m going to really be pulling for those deep heavy breaths because I’ll be winded, and the more I do this I’ll get better at handling that. So while I’m going to get better at running, this will also help me get better at my workouts in the weight room (assuming the gyms ever open again… ). Having better lung capacity matters there too. I’m planning to do these runs while keeping up with my workouts of 100 pushups, squats, and RDL’s. Some day’s I’ll be doing two workouts a day. ----- What fitness goals do you have? These items usually have little processing and are full of goodness! Stepped into this week with an intention, a grateful heart and most importantly a positive frame of mind 🧘🏻‍♀️ . I used to think that setting weekly goals would put too much pressure & overwhelm me, but I’ve realized that the key is to set small easily attainable goals so that you don’t set yourself up for failure or have backlog fatigue 🤪 . Im finding that this has a real positive impact on my mood & confidence. August is a busy month for me (many people tbh ) and so the theme I went for my bujo this month is space/vintage space. It’s a new week baby ✨⁣ ⁣ Happy Monday and week THREE of #StrongInFall 🙌🏽 How are we already at the halfway point in this challenge?! I swear it’s true that time flies when you’re having fun 🎉 even though in this case “fun” means sweating and yelling “WTF DANIELLE” in the middle of a workout 😂⁣ ⁣ I don’t know about you, but I’m still feeling the energy coming off of the last two weeks, and I’m ready to make this week great. My goals for this week are:⁣ ⁣ ✖️Stay hydrated 💦 not gonna lie, my water intake was not where it should’ve been last week, so I’m making sure I don’t fall flat this week.⁣ ✖️Stretching more. I implemented this last week and it felt so good and really helped my body recover, so I am going to make sure I am stretching more & doing my warm ups before working out. ⁣ ✖️Mystery news tasks...I’m still not 100% ready to reveal my secret from last week, but I would like to check two of my “to-do’s” off of my list this week 📝⁣ ✖️Self care 3x this week.
