Are you looking at the right thing? In my experience, one of the biggest mistakes people make in sprinting is trying to copy the positions elite sprinters get in, without understanding the intent that was applied by the athlete that led to that position. For example: many see a "high knee drive" in elite sprinters and try to copy it without realising that it is not where their intent is going, and is often just a result of an efficient switch and good range of motion at the hip. Those that chase this position do so by actively flexing the hip. All that does is take away from the most important part, actively extending the hip. Look at the intent before you look at the outcome.

Pliometrik Antrenman Nedir? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #plyometrics #fitness #strength #strengthandconditioning #workout #power #training #strengthtraining #speed #agility #plyometricstraining #speedtraining #personaltrainer #fitnessmotivation #gym #athlete #functionaltraining #explosivetraining #sportsperformance #football #cardio #conditioning #fit #basketball #jump #boxjumps #motivation #fitfam #speedandagility #bhfyp @rcperformancetraining @functionalmvmt

🔥Lateral mouvement with the band 🔥 Lateral movement can also help the body develop the balance and coordination necessary to stay agile and move confidently in all directions. By building reflexes, resilience and agility, a workout based on lateral movement can even protect the body from injury and speed our ability to bounce back from hits and falls. It can also help to : ✅Preventing Injury: Lateral exercise movements strengthen the muscles that support important joint structures. ✅Balance and Coordination: Stabilizer muscles are used in lateral exercise, which can provide increased body balance and coordination . . Try this workout 🏋️‍♀️ and have fun #speed #explosivetraining #agility #plyometrics #fastfeed #heath #sportspecific #trainsmart #elitetraining #legday #bodybuilding #functionalmovement #functional #agilityworkout #strenghtandconditioning #speedtraining #beastmode #athleticdevelopement #trainsmart #quicknesstraining #explosiveness #speedandagility #trusttheprocess #performancetraining #biomechanics #advancedtraining #lateralmovement #hipsflexors

🚀Lateral Volley Jumps⤵️ #theextra10 • 💥Improves explosiveness • 🧽Improves force absorption • 🎯Improves proprioception • 💯This is an excellent exercise for developing overall athleticism. For starters, you must produce significant force repeatedly to clear the net. Next, you must absorb significant force on the way down. The drop makes this exercise much different than a box jump. Dropping down from this height requires a high capacity for deceleration. The intensive deceleration phase of this exercise also teaches us how to evenly distribute force amongst all the joints. Injuries tend to happen when we fail to distribute force evenly, and one joint bears the brunt of all the force. Finally, this exercise requires a high level of spatial awareness and body control. To perform this exercise; you must effectively gauge where the net is, as well as the ground. Additionally, you must be able to effectively control your body in the air. This allows you to land in a coordinated manner so that you can complete many jumps in a row. Since this exercise requires you to spend a relatively long time in the air, controlling your body is much easier said than done • 🥅The goal of this exercise is to go across the entire width of the tennis court; starting on one boundary line, and ending on the other (in approximately 10-12 jumps ) •

💥Footwork💥 - ❤️ TAG or SHARE this post with someone who could benefit from these drills💪🏼 - 🙌🏼 Today I'm collaborating with @smithforgedsc to show some example drills one might incorporate using an agility ladder to improve footwork, coordination, and plyometric loading - 🎯 In addition to traditional resistance training, the agility ladder provides a nice option to be able to promote ballistic strength of the gastroc/soleus complex (calves ) as well as build resilience in the Achilles tendon - 💪🏼 In regards to performance, the agility ladder provides creative ways to work on various footwork drills that may improve movement variability, which may be helpful in sports requiring quick, coordinated changes in footwork - ✅ The drills you choose can be simple or as creative as you wish, as long as they are movements that are both practical and meaningful to you. This post shows only a few examples for reference - 💯 Important to note: a recent study demonstrated that there is a far higher requirement of the calf muscles during running than we initially thought - 🍑 So the previous emphasis on training the glutes, while still important, may not be as important as building calf muscle strength and resilience, at least for runners - ⁉️ Questions? Comments? Send me a message or leave a comment below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ - 📚 References: 📌 Willy & Meira 2016 IJSPT 📌 Kulas et al
