“Go at YOUR pace because it’s YOUR body” That’s what my trainer said today and it just hit me hard. So often we feel we need to be at a certain place in our journey because we’ve been at it for weeks, months, years and change 𝒮𝒽𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 have happened by now. I 𝒮𝒽𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 have lost 10lbs by now. I 𝒮𝒽𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 have PRd on my race time by now. I 𝒮𝒽𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 have gotten my eating under control by now. I 𝒮𝒽𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 be able to fit into those shorts by now. It’s important to realize every body is different. We all respond to exercise and healthy eating differently. Just because Susie down the road started her journey after you but lost 10+ lbs already does not mean you are doing anything wrong. Your journey is not discounted just because someone else reached a goal faster than you. You can not compare your body to someone else’s. That’s apples to oranges. Focus on YOUR journey and celebrate every single milestone along the way because you deserve to root for yourself and have others root for you along the way! 💕 Stay YOUR path!

They’re great for a post-workout snack, or something to satisfy your sweet-tooth! They’ve been so helpful with giving me energy, and keeping me away from the junk food while being on lock down. Saturday Post Workout Lemon Blueberry Protein Pancakes Recipe!!🥞 . Recipe & 📸 _ @jmitchfit . These pancakes were the perfect post-workout meal and tasted soooo good thanks to builtbystrength protein. It’s all about trial and error! ⠀ Set that alarm 10 minutes earlier so you can jump out of bed and make breakfast at home. ⏰. ⠀ If you can’t wake up earlier try preparing overnight oats or simply grabbing toast on the go in the morning. 👩‍🍳. ⠀ I know how hard a fresh start can be, so let me help you with one of my favorite smoothies I make: ⠀ Creamy Berry Smoothie ⠀ Prep time: 10 minutes ⠀ Yields: 2 servings ⠀ Ingredients 1 avocado 1 cup blueberries 1 cup blackberries 2 tbsps chia seeds Juice of 2 limes 1 cup almond milk 5 ice cubes ⠀ Directions Wash and pat all produce dry. I’m a true believer of getting out of something what you put in. In every walk of life. You could leave it to chance, luck or ‘fate’...but I’d rather not risk it. ⁣ ⁣ Whilst we’ve been in self isolation I’ve learnt that your body is no different. I’ve been spending a lot of time over the last few weeks looking at what I’m fuelling my body with to see if I can improve my general health and wellbeing.⁣ ⁣ Looking at the quality of the food and supplements I take isn’t something I’ve ever done to be honest. I’ve always just taken it as a given, naively, that everything available to us is equal, if that makes sense... Organic, non organic, an egg is an egg right? ⁣ ⁣ With this in mind, coincidentally, a few weeks ago, the team at @supernova .protein reached out and asked if I wanted to try their 02 Man’s Protein Powder. Naturally, I was like 100% let’s do it!⁣ ⁣ It’s flavoured only with raw organic Peruvian cacao, containing all the typical superfood health benefits you’d expect and organic brown rice and fermented pea proteins create the core protein base. Oh, and it tastes insane. All I do personally is add 250ml of coconut milk to two scoops and blend. To all the nurses out there who are running their butts off… . To all the nurses who are putting their own health on the back burner so the can care for others.... . Hey...it’s okay to take a second for you. . I know we care for others, it’s apart of us, and it’s the main reason WHY we became a nurse in the first place. . But taking care of US so we can be there to take care of others is just as important. . I know it’s hard to get a second to eat lunch, heck, some days lunch is ate at 4:00P.M. and some days its non existent. . I know that. . Which is why I’m thankful to have found 1stPhorms Level-1 shakes. These are super handy to take with you to work. You can mix it up ahead of time or make it on the fly. . This is a convenient, tasty way to sneak protein in throughout the day when we don’t have time to sit down and eat a meal. . Level-1 is a sustained assimilating high quality protein. This mimics the digestion of a whole foods source, so it will keep you fuller longer. It’s low temperature processed so it’s not chalky/clumpy; it doesn’t upset your stomach & doesn’t give you bloat/gas. . It’s freaking delicious. . Level-1 has been my saving grace several times. Not only is it good just mixed with water as a shake, its also good in coffee…which I can almost bet money on that if you’re a nurse you’re drinking coffee all throughout the day!😜 ☕️ . You might think that I have a friend coming over or something, but it's really just me and two jars loaded with protein chiapudding and nicecream.🙂 I don't think I'll ever get tired of this combination.🤷🏼‍♀️😉 . The recipe (for✌jars ): Nicecream👇 - 2 dl @barebells Vanilla Protein Milkshake - 300 g chopped and frozen very ripe bananas Chia pudding👇 - 1 dl @barebells Vanilla Protein Milkshake - 2-3 tblsp chia seeds The chocolate eggs on top👇 - 1 @barebells Crunchy Fudge Protein Bar - 1/2 tbls cocao powder 💁🏼‍♀️ How to: 1. Start with the chia pudding. Mix the ingredients and put in the fridge for 30 minutes. 2. Chop up the protein bar and form the pieces into eggs. Or balls, or rabbits, orhearts or whatever floats your boat.🤷🏼‍♀️ Powder with cocoa powder. 3. Now the nicecream. Mix the ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth. 4.
