Did you know my nutrition journey started with Facebook? After a cough that lasted 2 months no answers from the doctors, I took the issue to my friends. Someone suggested I cut out dairy and woaaahhhh...my skin cleared up, I lost some weight, and it got me thinking...are there other foods that are this life-changing? (yes ) And WHY doesn't anyone teach us this stuff?? A few months & a few classes later, I healed myself from an estrogen imbalance and the rest was history. I simply could not allow other women to be left in the dark like I was. Is there one area of your health you wish you could change? Drop a comment or DM and let me know, I'd love to help. (Let's avoid that #quarantine15 ! )

Food is food. No one is better than any other person because they eat “clean” or only certain food groups. Let’s stop giving food morality. Food provides energy ⚡️ and some food provides more nutrients than others, but that doesn’t make a particular food bad. Some of the less nutrient dense options provide enjoyment, are eaten at celebrations🎈, and can provide comfort for the soul💖. All food has a place and can fit into balanced eating. Food can also be connection and culture. . . #intuitiveeating #howtoloveyourbody #theundiet #dietsdontwork #haes #healthateverysize #foodfreedom #allfoodsfit #antidiet #wellnessthatworks #mindbodyandsoul #wellness #ditchthediet #dietculturedropout #lifebeyonddieting #bodyacceptance #bodypositivity #selflovejourney #selfcare #disorderedeating #bingeeatingdisorder #weightstigma #stresseating #weightloss #quarantine15 #wellnesswithouttheobsession #balance #flexibleeating #nomorediets #enddietculture
Sitting here for a sec and thinking about this journey i have been on. Remembering back to what it felt like to be so miserable and disappointed in myself that I tried all the latest fad diet, or exercise. Or my obsession with the scale, trying so hard “be good” and not cheat on my diets, Staring at myself in the mirror and bullying myself to stick to it. Falling into the “screw it” category because I just couldn’t follow through. The mindset of: its never going to work anyway, so why even try”. Our Mindset has got to change. Thats it. And I am not looking to fight about the "body positive" movement. I think we have to love ourselves THROUGH the journey. Love ourselves where we are at and be grateful for the body we have been given...but, if we aren't healthy...that isn't positive. I used to think I should just accept the fact i was never gonna be thinner or a smaller size because of my age or bone-size. Or we should just accept ourselves at a bigger size” because that’s BS. There’s a difference between accepting that I’ll never be a size 2 (nor do I care to be ), but also working towards making healthier lifestyle changes, vs telling myself “oh you’re just meant to be big, so why even exercise or eat well, that’s society telling you to do that.” Umm no. Its a fine line, but being HEALTHY should be our priority. We have to remember that we have one body. We have to take care of it. We want it to last. I know it’s hard. I know you aren’t sure if you can do it, You have failed before and you don’t trust yourself to follow through on your commitment to yourself. We can do it if we focus on first changing HABITS and learning how to make it work. Within you, you have what it takes. And there’s a part that’s stronger than you know. Trust that part. <3 Just some random thoughts while I am social distancing 😍 #mindsetiseverything #2bmindset #changingyourhabits #lifestylechange

For anyone who’s experiencing an increase in negative self-talk & critical thoughts about your body these last few weeks - I see you, and what you’re experiencing is totally understandable. The human survival brain has evolved to depend on certainty, because where there’s certainty, there’s safety. You wouldn’t want to enter that dark scary cave you’ve never been in before for fear of what may be waiting for you inside, right? Our ancestors sought out certainty as a means of protection, and we continue to do the same now. In times of heightened uncertainty, like right now, our brains scramble to cling to familiarity, to what we know. And as awful as it may feel, if you’ve struggled with a negative body image for a long time, your brain would rather cycle through those thoughts than deal with the discomfort of facing the immense unknowns of our future. We choose the suffering that we are familiar with, over the suffering of uncertainty. I beg you to notice this pattern, so that you can have compassion for yourself. Create a separation in your mind between you & the negative self-talk. Remind yourself that just because the thoughts are there, doesn’t mean they’re true. Even though it may be really hard to understand, these critical body thoughts are still a way in which your brain is trying to protect you. It’s doing what it thinks is best for you. Notice the thoughts, create the separation, and breathe into it. Send your heart, your mind & your body some love. I see you, and you are so, so, strong ❤️
Compassion is like bathing – if you don’t do it every day, you’ll start to reek of your own self-loathing. What are ways in which we can practice self-compassion daily? What habits or rituals do you regularly practice to love on yourself? Please share in the comments, let’s inspire each other!
Is anyone else feeling like WFH 👩🏻💻 and social distancing is making us stay stuck in our own heads?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For many, absolutist diet thoughts are creeping in right now and it goes something like this "I must eat perfectly in April or else I won't lose enough weight for my vacation in May - and that would be awful." 😭 This thought makes you feel like you have to eat a "perfect diet" and exercise every day, but that of course isn't attainable, which leaves you feeling anxious. These diet thoughts are saying that you absolutely "must" act a certain way with your diet/exercise otherwise something "terrible" is going to happen. Sound familiar?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These are challenging times, and now more than ever we need to practice focusing on 💕progress not perfection💕 To do this, listen for thoughts that use the words must/should/need supposed to and replace them with words like can/is ok/may instead.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Change the thought of "I'm not supposed to be eating processed food" to "It's OK to eat processed food, there are no rules." Give your self grace during this time! Catch your negative thoughts and flip them to the exact opposite statement.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Have more questions or struggles with diet thoughts? I spent pretty much my whole life in a series of diets and letting the scale decide how I'd feel about myself every single day. 🥒🍴🍗 I didn't even know what life was like outside of deprivation, then over-doing it and constantly working out and blowing my money on "fast-fixes." 🤦♀️ It took a while, but I FINALLY gave in to my #foodiesoul and found a SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE. 🔥 Where my body is nourished and I'm satisfied. 🔥 Where I have support and encouragement from someone who's BEEN there (and they're not a scale... ) and they can keep me accountable Total. Welcome to my fitness dominion, B-Shizzle Fitness. With more time than I have ever had on my hands because of the coronavirus, I have decided to see this time as a blessing and start showing up for myself every day by chasing my goals and making myself proud. For the next six weeks I will be focusing on my nutrition and participating in an at-home boxing workout, something I found a passion for in college. I’ve attempted this journey many times before and failed, so this time I’m going all in and empowering myself to SHOW UP EVERYDAY. I encourage you all to see this time as a blessing to start focusing more on yourselves. Empowered women empower women, and I would love nothing more than to have you join me. It’s gonna be a helluva ride!
We recorded our episode for Intuitive Eating Principle 6 (Discover the Satisfaction Factor ) today and I want to celebrate that! 🎉 ⠀ Only 4 more principles to record for Season 1 of the Intuitive Eating for Christian Women podcast! It feels like it's been a long time coming, but this home stretch is also going by really fast... I don't know if it's the time travel that's been happening for me in the quarantine or what 🤷♀️🤣 But I do know the process is the point sometimes, so I just want to shout out my amazing co-host @charlee .cassel for making this process not only possible but also incredibly enjoyable! Growing, learning, creating, getting outside our own comfort zones and our own heads... together! It's been a very satisfying process thanks to you girl! ♥️
Today’s breakfast. Perhaps, my most favorite. 1.Start with heating up the pan (on medium or 5/10 ). Once it’s heated, add the bacon. Because bacon naturally has a lot of fat it won’t stick to the pan so there’s no need to add any oil/butter. 2.Once bacon is about half way done cooking, drain excess fat (oil in the pan ) into the sink. 3.Add the vegetables of your choice that you sliced and diced before starting cooking. Feel free to add a bit of butter at this time into the pan for additional taste and moisture. 4.Move the ingredients in the pan around while it cooks. Once the veggies start to become soft, add the beat up eggs to the equation. 5.Give about 30 seconds or so and then scoop from the bottom so the raw top gets a chance to get some heated action. After another 30 seconds, move everything around, don’t be afraid to break the eggs apart or in other words, scramble it. Let it cook for a little bit, move around again. Once the eggs are no longer runny, you’re done. 6.Add some bread/toast with some butter and cheese on top, avocado, some ketchup/bbq, have some fruit afterwards and you’re looking at a balanced breakfast. At least in my opinion. This is cost effective, relatively time efficient, and requires very little skill. Depending on the quantity you’re cooking, the cooking itself will most likely take between 10-15 minutes. As you get better, you will begin to use your instinct (as with many things in life ). If you’re not much of a cook and feeling a bit anxious, don’t be afraid to mess up. Try and if you fail try again! There was a dozen eggs in that skillet. Typically, I eat between 4-6 per sitting. I wasn’t cooking only for myself this time and also sometimes I make extra in advance (not too bad heated up ). - I may do a video on this in the future who knows : ) If you have any questions feel free to DM me and if you found this of value, share it. I hope to grow this channel and show as many people as possible the simplicity of living healthy and being fit. ‘Till next time! #healthybreakfast #powerbreakfast #healthyeatingideas #simplenutrition #nomorediets #scrambledeggs #fitnessmadesimple #basiccooking #musclebreakfast
I know it’s easier said than done. But the day you decide that you want to treat your body with more kindness and less judgement is the day it can all change. Make that decision and keep coming back to it. Even when it feels easier to judge yourself. Decide that your body will be a judgment free zone and eventually it will be. And celebrate each and every kind thing you do for yourself and your body. The judgement won’t go away overnight but putting your energy into kindness will make that judgemental voice a little quieter everyday. If you want support in quieting that voice my latest small group program kicks off April 20 and I’m only accepting 5 women. You’ll get individual attention as well as tons of support from women just like you. It’s going to be magical. Your body doesn’t need to be changed. It’s good the way it is. There’s no right or wrong way to inhabit a body and we’re all doing the best we can to take care of our fleshly home. Your body is also doing the best it can to take care of you, so when you can, extend some gratitude it’s way. Tell it how thankful you are for allowing you to experience all the lovely things you get to experience through it. Give it a nice caress and admire it’s curves and intricacies. Remind yourself that there’s nothing wrong with the way your body appears to those around you. This life isn’t about appearances. It’s about living. Get to living. 🌿 Need help? I was sitting there, a successful CPA, really great at my career. I was REALLY good at willpower and doing hard things. I couldn't understand why I wasn't losing weight. I used to think...if only I had more willpower, then I could lose weight and keep it off. Then once I get to my goal weight I can loosen the reins. I am 5'11'' and at one point I reached 131 pounds. My goal was 135 but I wanted to lose more and more. I was relying on willpower so heavily that as soon as I hit 131 pounds and said to myself, "I have arrived!" it came right back on. Before I knew it I put on 30 pounds. In a very short period of time I was almost halfway back to my heaviest weight. WHAT!?! I was pissed at myself, at the world, at all of it. Been there? Lost weight before and then you put it back on? All of that hard work feels like it was for nothing? I know what it feels like. The numbers don't even matter because the thought process and the feeling of hopelessness is the same. Then I realized I didn't need to rely on willpower. I could actually just reduce my desire for food. So I did just that. I changed my relationship with food and the weight came off and stayed off. This was before kids. Then I did it again after Ben and now after Gemma and it was easy. You can do it too. But first you need to stop believing the willpower lie. Listen to this week's all about this. You can do this. I am here to help you when you are ready. Tell me!...What is your biggest struggle with food?
Have you ever caught yourself saying that phrase? I know I have. It can immediately make you feel debilitating. That feeling like you have no choice. But is it true? Nope it’s not. You have the power of choice. Let’s break it down. There are 3 options no control, some control, and absolute control. No control: you have no control that the disease is in your towns your cities and affecting your current day to day life. Some control: anticipating challenges you may face now because of the new situations you may face. Absolute control: your actions, and how you choose to respond. It can be scare and be opposite of what your emotionally feeling. But with practice it can be a really powerful thing. Let me know how you can use this in your day to day life?Or if you want habit based nutrition coaching shoot me a message.
🙌🏼 Hands up for eating simply! . I made a big batch of chili last week. It contained lots of veggies, beans, and ground beef. It is a very hearty meal. . However, this chili didn’t have much starch in it (only some from the beans ). So I added a piece of bread with butter on the side. Now it’s balanced. . Eating healthy is this simple! You can eat what you want and follow one rule - have all 3 food groups at each meal. Simple. . What meals have you been batch making? This trick will help you to recognise the fulness signals better. ▫️ Binge eaters and most dieters tend to eat their meals really fast. This doesn't help to recognise fulness cues properly. ▫️ Fulness is registered in the brain, through a signal sent from the stomach. It takes at least 20 minutes for this signal to reach the brain. ▫️ When you eat fast you are not giving time for your stomach to send the signal. Most likely by the time you feel the signal you have already eaten too much. ▫️ Try to slow down and eat your meals calm. These will help you recognise the signal better and at the right time. Take time to chew, enjoy, relax and fully experience. ▫️ Eating in a more relaxed state will also help to minimise overeating and to digest and metabolise the food better. ▫️ I have decided to do for free my binge free masterming! You know that Savage TikTok challenge? ⠀ ⠀ 🙈I did it. ⠀ ⠀ Well… I learned it. ⠀ ⠀ I had a LOT of energy the other night and I whipped out my laptop, searched ‘savage dance tutorial’ and followed this super nice gal on YouTube to show me the ropes. ⠀ ⠀ I spent a half-hour (probably more ) learning and practicing this 15-second dance. ⠀ ⠀ And I do it at least 5 times every day now. ⠀ ⠀ My husband is THRILLED.💃⠀ ⠀ 🚀Back to the point...⠀ ⠀ I had SO much fun. ⠀ ⠀ I hadn’t learned a dance routine since my college days (shout out @dgboulder )⠀ ⠀ I laughed hysterically. ⠀ ⠀ Sweat was dripping down my face. ⠀ ⠀ It was silly. It was freeing. And it was a damn good time. ⠀ ⠀ 👉The next morning (thanks to @julie .ohlemacher ) I found out there were dance classes on @onepeloton ; so I took one! ⠀ ⠀ 👉And today, thanks to @nancycaitlyn I took another from @305fitness . ⠀ ⠀ I realized…. I wouldn’t be experiencing moments like this if I didn’t let go of the ‘rules’ of what it means to get a ‘good’ workout in. ⠀ ⠀ I wouldn’t be viewing dance as ‘counting’ because working out for me served a specific purpose - to be challenged, to get stronger, and to erase any ‘bad’ food choices I made the day before. ⠀ ⠀ Now, I don’t really use the term ‘working out;’ I say MOVEMENT. ⠀ ⠀ 🤸♀️How am I moving today? ⠀ 🤸♀️What sounds FUN to me? ⠀ 🤸♀️What can I TRY? ⠀ ⠀ And something I’ve been really focusing on lately…. What would make me laugh? ⠀ ⠀ Movement can be sweaty and lying on the floor challenging AND it can be silly, and light, and something that just makes ya feel good. ⠀ ⠀ I think now, more than ever, we need a lot more of the latter. ⠀ ⠀ p.s. If you wanna see me pop n’ lock it like the cool kids, give me a shout in the comments.🤟

Why is losing weight different when you and I work together? Because I help you identify the CAUSE(S ) of your overweight. And I’m NOT talking about food or exercise. We go BEYOND that. We look into the EMOTIONAL cause(s ) for your imbalance, i.e. your overweight. I don’t just tell you what to eat or not to eat, or how much to exercise. That is NOT the problem. That is NOT the solution. It goes beyond that. Once we identify the emotional cause(s ), we then design a path that suits your PERSONAL NEEDS, so that it works for YOU. Just for you, because everyone is different. Let’s create the PERFECT path for you to finally feel your BEST ⭐️ ⭐️ Do you know what affects you and your weight personally? Being active, for many people, is not about having fun or doing it out of enjoyment. Rather it is a means to an end; weight loss. Dieting and exercising solely for weight loss leads to burn out and a negative experience. ⠀⠀ Diet culture has engrained into us we’re active only to look a certain way. We wear watches that tell us how many calories we’ve burned, steps we’ve taken, when to log our food intake and even remind us to get up to move. When we don’t hit our calorie goals we discount what we have accomplished and beat ourselves up. ⠀⠀ We know working out burns calories, so why is it so important to know exactly how many? We’re so obsessed with getting to a certain weight we’ve forgotten why we should be active in the first place. ⠀⠀ It is common knowledge the benefits of being active on your overall health: - Decreases stress - Decrease in blood pressure - Reduces risk of heart disease - Reduces insulin resistance for diabetics - Increases bone strength - Increases muscle mass - Decrease in total cholesterol - Better sleep - Improve mood and memory - Increases metabolism ⠀⠀ Yet, the main focus for being active is still primarily weight loss. What if you stopped? What if you decided to be active simply because you enjoyed it? What if you focused on how it made you feel instead? ⠀⠀ You’d still burn calories. You’d get all the health benefits mentioned above. Be a lot less stressful that’s for sure! Probably have more time to do other things you enjoyed since you wouldn’t be worrying about logging food or calories burned. Most importantly it would become a long term behavior with long term health benefits. ⠀⠀ A positive emotional experience can have greater impact on your health than a negative one. A key step in ditching the diet culture weight loss trap is to do activities you enjoy everyday. It will take time, but with consistent positive activities you’ll slowly change your mentality and your life!

My days of late have looked a little bit like this: 1️⃣ Wake up & have coffee 2️⃣ Write to do list: daily, weekly goals, assessed each day 3️⃣ Try and tick off items on To Do list. On Tuesday my To Do list started with 6 items, and as at this very second there are still 3 things left 🙃 - Reminder: These are not normal times, so don’t have normal expectations of yourself. Don’t beat yourself up over shit you aren’t getting done. We are in the middle of a global crisis. Allow yourself to just exist rather than achieve. We have plenty of time to achieve when life goes back to “normal”, which it will. We will get through this.... Slowly. We are all feeling this, and all of our feelings are valid and unique ❤️ • • • • • • • • • • • • • • #ditchthediet #intuitiveeating #mindfuleating #selflove #selfcare #nondiet #foodfreedom #bodykindness #healthateverysize #healthy #nomorediets #mentalhealth #dietculturedropout #healthyliving #bopo #bodypositive #bodypositivemovement #bodypositivity #normalisenormalbodies #normalizenormalbodies #health #fitness #personaltrainer #workout
DIETING VS INTUITIVE EATING ⚡️- I don’t believe in diets full stop. Instead I work with clients to foster a better way of eating, supporting their health and learning to trust their bodies. Intuitive eating is an eating style based on the idea that you eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full. Make sense and so simple, right? However if you been dieting for years you probably can’t read your own body and it’s signals. Learning to eat intuitively takes time and practice, but something that you can benefit from for the rest of your life. It includes accepting your body and honoring your feelings of hunger and fullness. At the core is the concept of how to distinguish between physical and emotional hunger. Eating should satisfy your physical hunger without causing guilt. • • A great way of getting started is to start thinking -without judgement- about your eating behaviors and attitudes. Here are some examples of questions to ask yourself; • 1️⃣Am I eating because of physical or emotional hunger? • 2️⃣Am I eating out of hunger or habit? • 3️⃣How hungry am I on a scale 1-10? • 4️⃣What do I FEEL like eating • 5️⃣Is this enjoyable and tasty? • 📍If you are curious learning more about how intuitive eating could help you please DM me #intuitiveeating #holistichealth #healthylifestyle #healthcoaching #healthcoach #nomorediets #weareiin
. . . #effyourbeautystandards #edrecovery #edsuvivor #fat #fatgirl #honormycurves #nooneownsme #nowrongwaytobeawoman #riotnotdiet #nomorediets #idontcareaboutyourdiet #piercings #pierced #girlwithpiercings #fibromyalgi #fibromyalgia #iwillsurvive #mentalhealth #mentalhealthrecovery #tattoos #tatuering #girlswithtattoos
Yummy lunch thanks to @slimsfoods I’ve topped two of their crackers with tuna crunch 🌱 to make I’ve mixed a tin of tuna with red onion, tomatoes, sweetcorn, green pepper, sunflower seeds and avacado 🌱 I made it to @aldiuk this morning, and Aldi you did well, the shelves were full, well apart from self raising flour, I guess everyone is getting their bake on 🧁 and the amount of people in the shop was well managed. We were all able to keep our distance meaning I felt safe. So that’s my shop done until next week 🌱 . . #lunch #lunchtime #healthylunch #healthylunchideas #slimsfoods - [x] #hde #hungerdirectedeating #healthychoices #healthyideas #antidiet #haveyourcakeandskinnyjeanstoo #nomoredietrules #selflove #selfacceptance #postivievibes #sharethelove #bodypositive #nomorediets #ditchthediet #bodyacceptance #norestrictions #noguilt #health #healthyfood #hetrusttheprocessalthyliving #intuitiveeating #motivation #behaviourchange #trusttheprocess
It’s normal if you’re eating more than you normally do right now. If your body perceives that a food shortage may be near, it will try to eat as much as it can while it can. Many don’t know when they’ll be able to go to the grocery again. Some don’t know if they’ll have money to buy groceries the next time they go to the store. Food insecurity is a real potential for some people right now. If this is you, your body may be trying to prepare. This is normal. This is also what happens before we go on a diet- our body tries to prepare for the time of famine with an all out feast. If you’re struggling with your relationship with food during this time, I’d recommend checking out my mini-course on food freedom and body liberation, where I help you understand why dieting doesn’t work and how to reconnect with your body ❤️ https://www.mindstead.org/tools/t/food-freedom-and-body-liberation/ . . . #dietsdontwork #nondietapproach #dietculturedropout #antidietculture #antidiet #healthateverysize #haes #stopdieting #mindfuleating #intuitiveeatingjourney #ditchthediet #eatingdisordersupport #foodfreedom #nomorediets #antidiet #edawareness #eatingdisorderawareness #edwarriors #allbodiesaregoodbodies #bodyliberation #bodykindness #lexky #lexingtonky #lexingtonkentucky #sharethelex #859together #lexsticktogether #teamkentucky #lexunite #togetherkentucky #togetherky
When we tell ourselves that we can’t have something, THAT’S ALL OUR BRAINS THINK ABOUT. 🧠 ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Then, when we inevitably do eat that food, we feel like shit about it.🤔🚫⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Try allowing yourself to eat the foods you enjoy, with curiosity, and without judging them, or yourself. How much is too much, how much is too little, how much is just right? Is it hitting the spot? Or do you need something else to satisfy your cravings?⠀ ⠀ You are the expert of your own body. Start trusting it and leave all the diets behind.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 • • • • #nondietapproach #nomorediets #foodfreedomforever #healthateverysize #haes #selfloveclub #nourishnotpunish #nourishnotdeprive #allfoodsareok #allbodiesaregoodbodies #healthcoachjakarta #effyourbodystandards #idowhatiwant #riotsnotdiets
My lovely friends, you absolutely do NOT need diets and restriction in 2020. It’s a clean slate full of possibilities. “ Abs are made in the kitchen “ 🚫 REJECT! Why? Because genetics play a massive part in the make up of a humans body composition and it doesn’t matter how committed a person is to their eating plan and / or training, some people will never have abs. - “Your body is a reflection of your lifestyle“ 🚫 REJECT! Why? Pretty much the exact same reason as above! Bodies are meant to come in all different shapes and sizes and sometimes the “ thin ideal “ can be detrimental to a person’s physical and mental health. - “You can’t out exercise a bad diet!” 🚫 REJECT! Why? You can be the healthiest person in the world, eat all the “ healthy foods “ participate in all the exercise programs, classes, fun runs etc. and your body shape / weight may never change. Just because you are in a larger body it doesn’t mean you have a bad diet. - “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” 🚫 REJECT! - “The worst workout is the one you didn’t do” 🚫REJECT! - “Train insane or remain the same” 🚫REJECT! - I could keep going but you get the drill.... - When I see these words they make me cringe. There are people who live their life by these quotations. - This is sneaky diet culture marketing. If it truely effects you, I recommend rejecting the messages and living life on your own terms ✨ - ⬅️ this is me internalising all of those messages and assuming my happiness was only 5 more kilos away 😭 - ➡️ This is educated me. To all of you out there that are doing the best that you can, know that YOUR best, whatever that looks like, is enough. If you’re one of those people doing nothing instead of learning something new every day, that is enough. To the people out there trying to navigate intuitive eating but feel like you are failing, I know you are trying your best and that is enough. To the ones that are struggling with body image and are doing their best not to fall into old habits, I see you; I know that you are doing your best, and know that the best you can do is enough. To the mama’s that feel guilty for letting their kids have more screen time than usual just to be able to get all the things done. Know that what you’re doing is perfect and it’s enough. To the roommates or couples that are realizing being around each other, 24/7 is no walk in the park. Just know that no matter how you are keeping the peace, that is enough. To the ones that have binged, emotionally ate, and/or snacked all day, know that you are trying your best every day, you really are, and that is enough. I want you to know that wherever you are right now, know that what you are doing right now is enough. Place your hands on your heart, close your eyes and say to yourself, “I am doing my best and that is enough.” This is the best you can do in the situation we are in and know that your best, whatever that looks like, is enough. . . . #nomorediets #ditchthescale #fuckdiets #fuckdiet #fuckdietculture #bodyimagemovement #positivebodyimage #bodyshaming #bodydismorphia #loveyourcurves #bodypeace #bingeeatingrecovery #edrecoverywarrior #edrecovered #bulimianervosarecovery #mompreneur #workingmom #momswhowork #motherhoodunited #momproblems #youarewothy #vulnerabilityisstrength #learntoloveyourself #selfvalue #madeformore #bodytrust #foodpeace
I took last year off… - ➰ A whole year from focusing on my body ➰ A whole year not worrying about fat, muscle or how strong I am. ➰ A whole year of eating when I was hungry, stopping when I was full, and 100% complete and total permission to eat whatever the hell I wanted. ➰ A whole year of focusing on everything my body allows me to do instead of how it was “supposed” to look. ➰ A whole year FREE from my eating disorder which consumed nearly 15 years of my life. - ▫️ The last year has been the most incredible / rewarding year of my life. ▫️ The last year has allowed me to appreciate my body. ▫️ The last year has helped me fall back in love exercise. ▫️ The last year has helped me form the most important relationship I will ever have … the relationship I have with myself & body. On Thursday I said goodbye to the last piece of the puzzle that was tying me to my eating disorder. What has the last year taught me? Self-Acceptance | Self Love | Self Respect | Compassion | How to grieve | How to let go | How to help others | how to exercise without self-harm | how to eat in accordance with my own rules | how to stand up for myself | what nutrition actually meant to me | how to let go of calories | how to let go of food rules. I found me…. I found my worth…. I found out who I really am... Most importantly I found the answer to that question we search nearly most of our lives for... - ❓ What do you want to do when you're older? ❗️ Well... I want to help women who are going through / been through exactly what I went through. I want to help women with eating disorders come home to their bodies, eat the food they enjoy & exercise in ways that make them feel good. 10 actions that will help build your inner confidence but only if you do them regularly *** this list is based off of both my professional experience as a coach, as well as my own personal journey 1. step out of your comfort zone every day, even if if it’s the tiniest step in the world 2. allow room for messy action—still set the bar high, but not so high that it’s unattainable 3. ditch dieting and learn how to eat intuitively—trusting your body is the most powerful tool you can ever have 4. focus on how movement + exercise makes you feel 5. set hella boundaries 6. stop trying to find self-love and instead start looking for self-acceptance 7. validate yourself and your decisions—your approval of you is all that matters 8. spend time with people that empower you and make sure to reciprocate 9. limit your time on social media and unfollow people you compare yourself too 10. sit in the discomfort. period. id love to know, which number are you going to work on this week?👇🏼 #bodypositivitymoment #bopo #bopowarrior #bodypositive #selflovebringsbeauty #antidiet #healthateverysize #bodyacceptance #selfcompassion #dietculture #ditchthediet #nomorediets #intentionallife #nourishnotpunish #intuitiveeatingjourney #dietculturedropout #trustyourbody #stepintoyourpower #healthysoul #healthmatters #selfloveadvocate #bodydysmorphia #livingintentionally #foodfreedom #bingeeatingrecovery #bedrecovery #takecontrolofyourhealth #mentalclarity #nodeprivation #itsnotadiet
"I WANT TO LEARN SELF-LOVE BUT I STILL WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT"⠀ ⠀ Gimana tuh? Bisa nggak ya?🤔⠀ ⠀ This is one of the most asked questions when I speak to a potential client. And basically, the question can be rephrased like this:⠀ ⠀ “Tiara, can I lose weight without dieting?" 🤭⠀ ⠀ And my answer will always be the same: I cannot and will not guarantee weight loss as the outcome of my program. Weight loss is not the goal. Weight loss is never the goal. Health is the goal and weight has no DIRECT impact on your health. ⠀ ⠀ And when health IS the goal, the focus is on behaviors and NOT on numbers. If you still want to lose weight, I will always hold the space for you but I want you to ask yourself, "WHY do you want to lose weight?"⠀ ⠀ Often the answer would be some type of feeling such as "I want to be more confident", "I want to be treated differently", or "I want to be healthy" ⠀ ⠀ Whatever the reason is, I would ask you to consider the possibility of accepting that your healthy set point weight may NOT be your ideal weight. This is tough and I often find that a grieving process can actually be helpful and important. Mourning the loss of the body you desire is HARD, so have grace and compassion for yourself as you move through this. ⠀ ⠀ Kamu bisa nggak happy kalo berat badan kamu nggak akan balik lagi ke 50 kg or 60 kg or 70 kg or whatever your magic number is??🙃 ⠀ What if you start some habits that positively impact your health instead of manipulate your body size? Weight loss is a possible outcome of all the other healthy habits developed as you learn to live intuitively – practice self care, sleep well, move in a way that feels good, and eat foods that feel good and satisfy you. But again...not the goal. ⠀ Curious on how to start? Today I opened the door to my Abundance Academy group-coaching program where I will be teaching you exactly how to positively change the way you eat, move and feel in your body.
