Still here, still sticking to calories, still getting my 10,000 steps in. Don't feel like I'm making much progress with my body at the moment but I did loose 2lbs last week so hoping can do a similar or even maintain. Breakfast of champions today. Still here, still working out, still eating between 1,500-1,800 calories a day with a 30%, 30%, 40% split on carbs, fat, Protien. Hello people! Still here In the isolation inspiration station. So I maintained this week which I was SUPER sad about but looking back over the week and everything that's happened and the routine mess up that's going on its not too bad. My main quarentine goals are : - 10,000 steps every day, regardless (this has had me doing laps of my house ) and my other half got a concept 2 rowing machine from school so use that once a day too - keep to 100g of Protien everyday - no more then 2,000 cals a day (should be 1,500 but to get my Protien in I sometimes have to go over my cals ) - keep up my weight training (I got a Olympic bar, 2x5kg plates and 2x10kg plates and a 12kg kettlebell ) - come out of this fitter/lighter then I went in but don't put too much pressure on myself So yeah, miss mine and @tobie_draper86 gym times together but they will come back before we know it! Do you know the signs for physical hunger?⁠ ⁠ How about emotional hunger?⁠ ⁠ This is exactly what we were covering in our sugar challenge yesterday. I also shared my five tips on how I've managed to find my food freedom.⁠ ⁠ Honestly, when I look back on that girl 6 years ago, it is at times truly hard to put myself back in her shoes.⁠ The girl who could not come home from uni without stopping over at Poundland and stock up on goodies.⁠ The girl who hid wrappers.⁠ The girl who relied on caffeine to get her through the day.⁠ The girl who felt stuck in that vicious cycle of afternoon energy slumps.⁠ The girl who felt so hopeless of ever truly knowing what it feels to have a body that thrives.⁠ The girl who ate for comfort to mask what was really going on.⁠ ⁠ What helped me get out of that black hole was firstly, exercise and secondly, mindset shift.⁠ You see, once I knew how my body felt after exercise, it was harder to fuel it with junk.⁠ Once I realised what my body was capable of doing physically, it was not a question of how much weight can I lose but how can I make this feeling last for good?⁠ ⁠ So often, we think we lack the willpower or motivation when in fact, the only thing we are lacking is that trust and belief in our own abilities.

Last hotel breakfast (in this hotel, till next week ) Standard bagel thin and one poached egg (I ask for one everyday, only eat one but they always bring me two ) and a green tea. 200 cals. Feels weird not knowing what my weigh in was yesterday as I feel I've done well over the week but I've also had a few naughties bur everything beens tracked and I'm accountable for it, I just don't know the results. Whoever says losing weight is hard is lying.⁠ ⁠ It is the maintaining of a healthy weight that's the real battle.⁠ ⁠ I remember summer 2018 (second photo on the left ), I was falling back into old ways. I'd finished an 80-day program with the most amazing results I'd ever gotten, gone for a trip home where I allowed myself foods I wouldn't normally eat, got back from that holiday and just kept gaining weight and not caring.⁠ My jeans were getting tighter.⁠ My clothes were starting to fit real snuggly to the point of my belly flowing over.⁠ I was half-assing my fitness and nutrition.⁠ And it was starting to affect me mentally.⁠ ⁠ 2019 rolled around and I was determined to stop my weight yo-yo'ing for good.⁠ ⁠ My coach reached out to me and asked if I wanted to join in with all the other ladies.⁠ I was so reluctant to begin with.⁠ I didn't need a group to keep me accountable.⁠ I'd been doing it on my own for years.⁠ Surely, being part of a group was not gonna make a difference to my results.⁠ ⁠ Well, as it turns out, that is exactly what I needed.⁠ I needed to surround myself with like minded ladies who could relate to my struggle, who would help me be accountable to my fitness and nutrition, who were on their own journey with their own struggles.⁠ But we were there for each other, chipping away as one of my dear friend keeps saying.⁠ ⁠ 2019 was the most consistent I have EVER been with my weight.⁠ The weight between Feb and Dec 2019 is pretty much identical.⁠ And if you've followed me long enough, you know I don't really obsess over the number on the scale but I do strive for a weight that I feel comfortable at and what I was back in 2018 was definitely not comfortable.⁠ ⁠ On 3 February, we are opening doors to our amazing community. So the UK government is considering putting the amount of physical activity it takes to burn off calories on food labels. Do you think it is a good idea? Do you think it'll help battle the obesity crisis we are in? My guess is a big fat NO! So far we have lowered the amount of sugar in foods. We have sugar tax on soft drinks. Some areas are physically banning school kids from entering local convenience stores. Can you see what's wrong with it all? We are changing the external factors and not getting to the bottom of it. We are fighting fire with fire. Not to mention all the emotional triggers it will have for people with eating disorders. Instead of going to the source of the problem, which is simply our lack of education and possibly plain ignorance, we are trying to sabotage people into thinking they are making better choices. Well, smokers are still buying cigarettes with "Smoking Kills" written all over the packets. We can't just keep fighting these big corporations with smacking more things on labels. We need to focus on education, both national and individual. Our food choices are literally ruining our health and well being, and I don't just mean our waistlines. We need to be educated on how not all calories are created equal no matter how long it takes to burn them off. How exercise is not a punishment but a natural part of being a human being. We were made to move. We were made to fuel our bodies with nourishing foods. We were not made to suffer.
