We all have our own set of belief systems that make our life the way it is. It affects how we think about ourselves, others, & the world at large. It also influences our emotions, our actions, how successful & how happy we are. This is why beliefs are so important & worth looking into & understanding. I was asked what my favorite color is and it’s this sunrise orange! What is the name of that color? It’s more indescribable in person. I also love the turquoise blues of the Jamaican water. R i S E like the ☀️ Step into your power Today, tomorrow, this week, next week, this month, next month, this year, next year... Every moment is an opportunity to look at ourselves and CHOOSE what we want. BUT too often, it becomes easy to look for what feels comfortable, ultimately creating from a place where all our fears and limiting beliefs live. We forget that we are not here to experience the same things over and over. ✨We are here to expand, for the purpose of growing our conscious awareness. When we remember this collective purpose, and consider it in the way we live... we are making a difference in the world, wether we know it or not. In that state, which I refer to as STEPPING INTO YOUR POWER: 👉🏼We are our true and authentic selves 👉🏼we feel inner peace and love inside 👉🏼We feel joyful and want to share that joy with everyone 👉🏼We feel creative and expansive 👉🏼We see our fears and embrace them as we choose to DO IT ANYWAY 👉🏼We are loving and compassionate, without judgement I’m sure you have felt some or all of these at different moments of your life, but what happens? Life, emotions, relationships, finances, health issues, pain... get the best of you. ✨It is in those moments, that we need to remember our collective purpose the most because it is in these moments that 👉🏼 we need to observe ourselves, our reactions, fears, limitations and beliefs, so we can CHOOSE again. 👉🏼We can choose to do what feels like a calling and take a chance, we can believe in ourselves and make our faith stronger than our fears, we can let go of putting pressure on ourselves and just do our best and we can surrender to a desired outcome and trust that we got it. Bowie Love’s to sneak into our bed when we’re sleeping and I always ask did you have a nightmare? But the answer is always the same “I missed you “ The other night she snuck in and held my face and told me I’m beautiful & that she loves me so much 😭 My little one is listening and repeating what she’s taught. I tell them often they have beautiful souls. My hope is that one day you grow up truly knowing your worth and that you are a beautiful soul. Just like the way you make me feel. Want the world to be better, this is where it starts. At home! Speak words of love for they are always listening.

Spending some time in West Virginia & North Carolina over the next few weeks with family. One of my favorite ways to conclude a yoga class is with a moment of “Namaste” (Or Samastitihi ) where we bring our hands to: • Our third eye to represent kind thoughts • To our mouths to represent kind words • To our hearts to represent our intention for kind and loving actions. Yoga and mindfulness teaches us that our thoughts and feelings are shaping and influencing our energy field, each and every moment of our lives. We ARE energy and we change the energy (admosphere, mood ) when entering a space, having a conversation or acting in a certain way. It’s wonderfully empowering to make this connection and at the same time makes us responsible for • the energy we bring into this world and also • where we choose to spend our precious energy. This does not mean we need to have perfect positive thoughts all the time. What it does mean is that when we bring conscious awareness to the quality of our thoughts, words and actions we are able to shift and walk away from energy that doesn't serve us and welcome in more uplifting beliefs. It is the noticing and the willingness to change this by setting a kind intention that matters. 📷: @ronald_leonardi

Es sind heute einfach 8° (gefühlt 4, sagt die Wetterapp ) und Windwarnung gab es auch direkt. Der Herbst kam bisschen spät, aber jetzt auch volle Pulle. What exactly is mindfulness?⁣ Mindfulness = Presence + Acceptance⁣ ⁣ Sounds simple but when you’re stressed or anxious, it can feel nearly impossible. ⁣ ⁣ Let’s break it down ⁣ 1. Presence - Where is your mind? A lot of times it’s busy thinking, analyzing, or strategizing. It’s somewhere in the past or future. When this happens it’s difficult to be aware of what’s ACTUALLY happening right here, right now. It’s important to mention that awareness isn’t just about understanding what’s going on around you. It’s about understanding what’s going on within you. ⁣ 2. Acceptance - Sometimes life doesn’t always go according to plan. It’s easy to accept the happy times. But can you be equally accepting of all the other thoughts and emotions you’re experiencing from moment to moment? ⁣ ⁣ When we can do these 2 things, we are experiencing mindfulness. How do we get better at it? We practice! ⁣ ⁣ How? Start with the practice of building moment to moment awareness. This is the key. ⁣ ⁣ At first it’ll be uncomfortable because you’ll be confronted with some things you may not want to feel. This is where acceptance comes in. Acceptance doesn’t happen overnight. ⁣ ⁣ It’s a process. ⁣ ⁣ Stay with it and be patient. With time you’ll start living in the present more and more and you’ll begin to loosen your grip around the way you think things should be. ⁣ ⁣ Would you like some guidance? Why yoga isn’t just stretching or a circuit or reps… I’ve done yoga classes before that incorporate counted reps instead moving to breath. And never fallen completely in love. It seems like such a nit-picky thing… I mean I LOVE classes that repeat sequences; the same postures one after the other. Why… how.. is that different? I think it is the energy; the intention. Much like the reason you might choose almond milk in your coffee over oat might change the experience around drinking it. Maybe you chose it because it’s the lower calorie option and you are trying to restrict yourself.. or maybe you chose it because you love the slightly nutty flavour. Outwardly it is the SAME, but the intention is different, and with that the resulting feeling is too. I mean I love weight training. I love sets and reps. I love the rhythm & the grind & the push. But it’s different to the feeling of yoga. This is why flow means a lot to me. Flow is moving with breath. It’s less about ‘pushing’ through hard things and more about feeling and surrendering. Does that make sense? It’s like coming up for air when you have been underwater. It feels like relief.

I repeated some for myself this morning: 1. Me, my family and friends are (still ) healthy 🧡 2. I live in a save country with good health insurances and a reliable social safety net👩🏼‍⚕️ 3. I am still young and have the ability to discover more of the world 🌍 in a little while. And thanks to my Dutch paspoort I have access to 155 of the 196 countries without the requirement of a visa. MEETING MY DAILY WATER GOAL 💦 In an effort to keep myself hydrated all day, every day I tried using the gallon of water. To be honest, I couldn’t do it. It was intimidating to see how much water I still had left to drink for the day That’s why when @hidratespark gifted me the HIDRATE SPARK 3 water bottle I was ecstatic! It comes with its own app which you connect the bottle to. It is basically your own buddy cheering for you! Whenever its time for me to drink water, it sends me a notification on my phone with either a funny, motivational, quotational or a mix of all three reminder. A couple of seconds later it blinks and lights up just like in the picture to remind me its time to drink some water 💃🏽 You can also add buddies, which of course I have Javi as mine.
