Shift your focus to lean in to gratitude and love rather than stay in your negative state. ⁣ ⁣ It’s not realistic for anyone to be happy all the time. ⁣ ⁣ In fact, it’s not possible really. You will never come across someone who will tell you that they are happy 100% of the time. ⁣ ⁣ Working on your mindset daily, doesn’t mean you’re going to be happy all the time.⁣ ⁣ It doesn’t mean your not going to have your overwhelming moments or you’re never going to snap at your kids again. ⁣ ⁣ Instead, working on your mindset daily, helps strengthen your awareness to know that you are the one that’s in control of what you want to happen in any given moment. ⁣ ⁣ Strengthening that awareness allows for you to not lose control when you are faced with those not so positive moments. ⁣ ⁣ Improving your mindset allows for you to improve the compassion you have for yourself so that WHEN you do lose your cool, you are able to FORGIVE yourself and move past it rather than dwell. ⁣ ⁣ Mindset practices allow you to work on yourself internally so that you can receive the results that you desire. ⁣ ⁣ Want to know how to get started on your mindset practice? ⁣ ⁣ I have a free resource in the link of my bio for you to jumpstart your mindset practice today! ⁣ ⁣ Click the link and sign up for it so you can get started today!

Easter is usually a time to go away with family and/or friends, to be very social, sharing food, drinks and gifts with loved ones. It is still a time to celebrate but in a very different way, I’m sure there will be plenty of devices propped up at the dinner table to enjoy meals together and how thankful for technology are we in times like this?! I heard a situation that made me feel very sad yesterday, a family of 4 have to celebrate Easter Sunday lunch as a family of 3 as one child lives out of home as recommendations from the COVID-19 hotline suggest it is not safe for their child to visit home for lunch. My mum also lives alone + will be spending what’s usually a loud day together on her own. There are so many families in this same boat + it saddens me deeply. However it is crucial to follow the rules more than ever, follow your head not your heart this weekend. We all want to reconnect but it is not time yet! In saying that, it is even more imperative that you go gently this weekend, on yourself, on your children, on your community. Ride your emotions, let the tears come + breathe through them. It is okay not to feel okay but please do try to limit imposing strong emotions on your children. They are already trying their best to settle into their new routines, to adapt to the unfamiliar, to comprehend so much change in their own little ways. Practice kindness to yourselves + all living things, surrender to the slower days, the louder home with your children around, take a walk around your garden or sit and stare out your window for a little while. Embrace the present moment and breathe, let those short + shallow breaths deepen and surrender to what you’re feeling. Be what your body needs you to be, just please be cautious of doing so around your children..they are already carrying enough on their precious shoulders 💖 Sending love + light. One house: two males, three females and two of these are hormonal. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I'm definitely peri-menopausal and she's definitely a tween. ⠀ ⁠⠀ And when I'm not feeling overwhelmed or emotional, it's been interesting. Especially in lockdown. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Because what I've noticed is that it's THE SAME THING. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Just a mirror image. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Which has made a big difference to how we handle each other. ⠀ ⠀ We're both able to see that we're up and down. And we can both blame our hormones. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ And that's something I'm super proud of as a mama. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Because I don't often feel I am enough on many fronts but I do know that I have put in enough when it comes to role modelling emotional fluency and being able to be vulnerable.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Just as I am with my coaching clients, nothing is off-limits for my kids. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Which may mean that I have discussed things with them that others might deem "inappropriate" but as far as I'm concerned, I would rather they knew the truth and asked questions until they felt comfortable with the level they can handle than learn half-truths and rubbish from unreliable sources. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ So, whilst most weeks are a rollercoaster for us two (and definitely for the onlookers ) at least we feel at ease naming it. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Acknowledging it for what it is. And allowing whatever emotion fancies coming through us next to flow on by, without judgement. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Without judging ourselves for not feeling differently and without needing to understand why. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ This has only been possible because of the work I've done on the sacred feminine. ⠀ ⠀ So if you haven't yet looked into it, don't wait until your daughter is a tween - there are so many great books, websites and other resources on the amazing power that our cycles give us! ⁠Start a menstrual diary now and get to KNOW yourself. ⠀ ⠀ Then you will be in a much more stable position to mother your daughters through this transition! ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ #transitioncoach #anxietycoach #bobomama

Do you ever find that some days it's harder than others to find your balance? It's even more difficult for children because bone growth affects their balance and coordination. Their bones are growing ahead of their muscles, meaning muscles and tendons can become tight and easily strained. And don't even get us started about their knees. Knees are a hinge joint which means they only move in one direction, or in one plane. This is why we tell them not to put their foot directly on their knee while in tree pose.
