Zou jij jezelf en je onbewuste wel een handje willen helpen om de negatieve lading van een herinnering los te laten? Aangezien Robin Stevens binnenkort een nieuw boek uitbrengt, zat Linden weer eens in zijn boek 'De kracht van NLP' te lezen. Daarin staat deze krachtige oefening die je helpt om dat nare gevoel van een bepaalde herinnering/periode te neutraliseren: 1. Denk aan het moment dat de nare gebeurtenis/ periode helemaal voorbij was, en je opgelucht was dat het voorbij was. 2. Stel jezelf voor dat je in de controlekamer van jouw eigen mentale bioscoop zit, terwijl op het witte doek het filmpje over jouw nare gebeurtenis/periode te zien is. 3. Speel de gebeurtenis/periode in gedachten voor een laatste keer van begin tot einde af. 4. Zet het beeld nu op pauze. 5. Maak het beeld vanuit de controlekamer zwart/wit, zodat alle kleuren verdwenen zijn. En maak het beeld een stuk kleiner dan het was. 6. Begin nu in gedachten het filmpje heel snel terug te spoelen. Vanaf het eind, helemaal terug naar voordat de gebeurtenis/periode begon. 7. Luister terwijl je dit doet naar komische circusmuziek (of beeld jezelf het geluid in. ) 8. Spoel het op deze manier ongeveer 3 keer terug. Iedere keer vanaf het moment dat het voorbij was tot aan het moment voordat de nare gebeurtenis/periode begon. 9. Breng nu je aandacht weer helemaal terug naar de plek waar je op dit moment bent. Wordt je weer bewust van dit moment, zie wat je ziet en hoor wat er op dit moment te horen is. 10. Test of het gewerkt heeft door terug te denken aan de nare gebeurtenis/periode waar het over ging en te voelen of het nu beter/neutraler voelt. I’ve been nominated by @vadanga on a 25 push-ups for 25 days challenge to hopefully raise awareness for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ), anxiety and depression that drive people to commit suicide. . QOTD: how spiritual or not are you? Rating: 4/5 I was inspired to read Thich Nhat Hanh by @healyourliving , a very interesting extreme minimalist Youtuber, who I much recommend checking out btw. I had been of late, experiencing a constant presence of anxiety and uncertainty in my life and found myself gravitating towards the concept of mindfulness. What I love about TNH's writing is that he doesn't try to proselytize anyone into Buddhism but he does distil it's useful teachings and practices into practiceable chunks for the layreader. There's no deep dive into karmic concepts and the other philosophical aspects that both Buddhism and Hinduism have at their core, but he just emphasizes on cultivating the values that will make our lives enriching. Quite the atheist and agnostic friendly book. Most if his books are quite short and very easy to read. Though they appear simple at first, further reading throw up more insights and you keep discovering a new aspect you didn't notice before.

Hi, my name is Brett Rivero and I am the founder of Legion Yoga. . 8 years ago I broke my spine and had major nerve damage. I was told I had to have surgery and just knew there was another way. . WHAT COULD YOU LEARN FROM THIS CHALLENGING TIME? . Someone has asked me what I have learned the most from this challenging time in the last few weeks. My answer is BALANCE. . It was always my biggest challenge in the last few years to find a healthy balance between work and free time. As a self-employed & ambitious person I really struggle with allowing myself to rest or to simply do nothing. A full day without answering messages, planning projects, teaching classes or traveling somewhere to teach was not imaginable for me. I just did not allow myself one day off. . When covid started the complete opposite extreme happened and I had no idea how to deal with all this new free time. It challenged me a lot to find the positive in this situation without feeling lost, but after some weeks I started to really enjoy doing nothing for my job but for my own mental health. I spent more time in nature with friends, used the time to study and read or even watch some nonsense on tv. . This is something I will really try to maintain - allowing myself to go with the flow and to listen to my own needs and wishes. „Like ebb and flow - the waves of life come and go.“ . Pause & breathe . . .Die letzten drei Tage waren wegen des Reopenings von @thewyldthing intensiv. Vor allem mental. Viele Gedanken, viele Sorgen aber auch viel Freude und viel Erleichterung. Es war so schön wieder ohne Bildschirm in die Gesichter der Yogis zu blicken und das zufriedene Lächeln zu sehen, wenn sie aus dem Savasana kommen, übertrifft sowieso alles. Nach wie vor ständiger Begleiter sind aber die Gedanken, wie sich jetzt alles entwickeln wird und wie die Zukunft sein wird. Deshalb versuch ich es heute mal ein bisschen ruhiger angehen zu lassen.
