This is... Supposed to be a tree pose. It was going to be a very serene, very lovely, poised and stable tree. All that a tree could be in the sunshine. But then I fell. And it got me thinking about balance. Balance will look different for every person and every skeleton. It will be different on your left foot opposed to your right. Some days balance will be absolutely on point, other days jenga might look more stable. Don't fear the wobble. The wobble not only shows us that all the muscles, tendons and ligaments are working to prevent the fall ( @getstrongphysio ) but it's also how our body learns to build the strength to be able to balance. No wobble, no learn! If we rely on the wall the whole time our balance is never challenged and never has the chance to improve. Our minds and bodies are intrinsically linked. Holding on to stress in the mind will also create stress in the body. It will impact and be reflected in your yoga practise - especially if you also hold on to your breath! Try to focus on stabilising the breath, balance will follow. I'd rather stay dirty than to shower without using a shower filter. Most of the tap water around the World is very rich in chemicals, such as fluoride, chlorine, and so on. The skin being the largest organ in the body absorbs most of those chemicals. Now imagine you're exposed to those chemicals on daily basis, with the hopeful thinking that you shower daily. What is wellness? During the brief time I’ve been studying holistic health, I’ve been taught about the 6 dimensions that make up wellness. Those 6 dimensions are physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, occupational and social wellness. Within each of those dimensions, there are implications that determine whether a person is “well”. I've never really taken a day off work just because and for myself. It's been a crazy roller coaster this year and I thought I could treat myself to do things I would like to do and on my own time. So I began my morning with a little reading and then 1 hour of #bodyflow yoga. Making a rest day while still taking care of my body and mental heatlth. I've been dealing with some lower back issues since last weekend so the only thing I have on my calendar today is a massage appointment this afteenoon... oh and probably some wine later lol. In present times, where we are constantly wired by our📱phones, 📅calendars, and social media it is easy and at times has become second nature for them to keep us on the go. Yes, it is part of life and when we use it mindfully, these are amazing tools ⚒️we have access to. I feel as long as we are the drivers its all good, once we let them drive us, matters tumble! . Being mindful has changed my life. Never imagined a simple act of mindfulness to be so fiercely powerful! I N N E R C H I L D H E A L I N G. You guys remember Master Yoda from Starwars? He mentioned a powerful sentence- " you must unlearn what you have learned". When I heard this the first time, I thought, oh wow that sounds so cool, but didn't realize the deeper meaning behind it✨ -- I created this quote after being inspired by that sentence yet again. As children, we're influenced to live our lives based on the expectations of our parents and other adults that we look up to as inspiration. But what we don't realize is the influence it can have on us while making decisions throughout our adulthood. --- Have you ever thought why you feel so anxious? Have trouble making decisions or attract the same type of people in your life? Inside each of us, there is a wounded inner child that wants to be heard 🙏👶 -- I was often sheltered throughout my life. If I did something against what I was taught, it was considered wrong. But throughout my spiritual journey, and healing on my own, I have realized the adults I had around me, including my parents had also gone through a similar childhood experience. It's a repeated cycle until we realize it's time to wake up. The only difference was they didnt have the opportunity to unlearn what they had learned. There’s a lot of stigma around hypnosis; what is it, can anyone be hypnotised, is it safe, how does it feel like, does it actually work, and is it even a real thing...?? I don’t use hypnosis because it sounds mystical or to show off. It’s just science and the reason I use it is simple: it’s a very powerful tool to create changes, it saves my clients a lot of time & suffering and it’s actually a very enjoyable way to deal with your issues. My male clients always enjoy being in hypnosis and going through the process in that state. I often get told after the session how “time was flying” or “that was quite a trip” or “It felt so real to be back in those moments”. To answer those questions: yes it is a real thing but I’m not going to jump inside your mind, you will have to volunteer and follow the lead and if you do, then yes, it will work. You’re always in control and won’t say or do anything against your will. It feels really good and it’s nothing but a very relaxed but focused state, just like being in a cinema watching your favourite movie, completely glued to the screen for 2h. Because you switch off the critical mind we’re able to cut off all the bs and get to the real stuff, in the unconscious. That’s the key. 🔑 What do you want to change? SWIPE RIGHT ⏩⏩ Disabilities vary from individual to individuals. Disabilities “look different” on everyone. There is no cookie cutter text book “look” of a disability. TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURIES has so many layers and levels. It truly is the INVISIBLE INJURY. No one think I have post concussion syndrome {• a mild TBI •} because of my look. I look normal. I look healthy. I am stereotyped by my look. It is all about my looks, not what is going on in my brain. I thought about wearing a bandaid on my forehead to show, this condition is invisible and forgotten. I don’t have a cast or crutches or a wheelchair, so I’m fine right? WRONG. Years of physical therapy, vision therapy, concussion clinic, botox shots, dry needling, trigger point injections, psychotherapy, cognitive retraining ..... but I am still not “cured”. I will never be who and what I was prior to my accident. I had to redefine who I am and make adjustments in my lifestyle in order to accommodate my new normal and all of my symptoms. To this day, 6 1/2 years later, I don’t feel like anyone in my life truly understands what I went through and what I go through every day. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Mid-day check in, team. What is happening in your body right now? Before intentionally shifting anything, take a look inward. Close your eyes. Beginning at the top of your head, center your internal awareness to your body. Moving slowly down your body starting with forehead, jaw, neck, shoulders and following along down to your stomach, hips, legs, and through your feet to the floor. Pay attention to how your body and breath feel. All too often we hold tension in our bodies without knowing it. What has organically shifted with this awareness? What further adjustments can you make to ground yourself? Lean into that mindfulness and move forward with your day.

Libra Season ♎️ We have entered into the Venus ruled energy of Libra Air, which means we are making our life full of beauty, balance and intelligence during this season. After the goddess energy of Virgo we get another season of goddess energy with Libra. This is the time where we take the lessons from Virgo and her analytical mind and use them for growth, expansion and balance during Libra season. Virgo taught us about health, birth, level ups, love, beauty and having what we want by not settling and to keep on going. Now that you see all of this we get back to work and put in the labor that was off balance and not fulfilling those needs and desires. This season will be about putting in the work and finishing up those loose ends so that you can sustain that next level you entered in during Virgo season. Whenever you enter into a new season and level there is a recalibration to come back into balance and this is exactly what we are doing as we adjust to this new way of living. Libra loves to pull down new ideas from the cosmos and use them to make her life more balance and beautiful, but she must understand them fully before implementing them... this is where we learn to think first before fully acting. Libra knows that in order to have her life representative of the Venusian energy she must first make her mind beautiful- as all things manifest through the mind first. It’s been a literal rollercoaster of events and emotions. I’ve never experienced SO much loss, confusion, frustration, anxiety, peace of mind, and happiness all at once. ⁣ ⁣ Many of my friends are back to work (and luckily, so am I ) but many of us aren’t taking time for ourselves.
