When we put emotions into categories of good or bad we automatically start to suppress or repress emotions. However, all emotions are normal and natural, and suppressing or repressing it will not be helpful. Hello I deleted my last two posts for no other reason than I changed my mind about liking how I edited them LOL. Anyway, hello, good evening 🌌 how are you? I hope you’re as well as can be <3 I’m feeling surprisingly, but not unwelcomely, calm tonight !! Last nights incident/episode was sad and has left me so tired and drained today so I’m hoping I’ll sleep okay tonight. Found out today my mental health services, the team I’m under, so like my cpn and psychiatrist are no longer reachable for the foreseeable !!!! brill !!!! I’m not to text or call because literally they won’t answer as ALL of them have had to go to wards, I believe. Of course I understand the times and the current situation. I know it’s a horrible time. But gosh knows how many people, myself included, in my area who rely on mental health services have literally just been abandoned :-/ I feel a weighty pressure to be well and okay now because there’s literally no help if I fall ??? ahh, I’m just going to try and not think about it too much because it sends me spiralling. For now, I’ll drink a cup of tea and snuggle down in bed.🖤

Today is #WorldHealthDay which feels especially important this year.⁣ ⁣ With so many people becoming more aware of their own and others’ health, it is important that we make sure the conversations include all aspects of our health... including mental health.⁣ ⁣ The reality is that those of us who have mental health concerns are being especially impacted during this time as access to supports and treatment has become severely limited.⁣ ⁣ This kind of global crisis is something most of us have never experienced in our lifetimes. We are all feeling the effects of it and even those who have never struggled with their mental health before are feeling the impacts of the stress and uncertainty on their mental wellbeing.⁣ ⁣ So how do we work together to improve and maintain our mental health during this challenging time in our world?⁣ ⁣ By creating “brave spaces” free of judgement for each other to share vulnerably and honestly about their experiences. ⁣ ⁣ By reaching out to those we care about how they are doing (even people who seem to have it ‘all together’ ).⁣ ⁣ By making time for connection and being intentional about our interactions.⁣ ⁣ By limiting our intake of news (and making sure it is from reliable sources ) and being mindful of how/how much we talk about the outbreak.⁣ ⁣ By being gentle with ourselves and each other as we all work to process our thoughts and emotions the best we can.⁣ ⁣ By prioritizing self-care and working to create new routines that help give us a feeling of stability.⁣ ⁣ By embracing empathy and kindness in our interactions and trying to support each other the best we can.⁣ ⁣ By speaking our truths and reaching out for help when we need it.⁣ ⁣ None of us are in this alone and the way we will get through it is by working together.⁣ ⁣ If you are feeling alone, lost, overwhelmed, scared, anxious, angry, or any other mix of emotions know that what you are feeling is a normal reaction to an abnormal situation. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to react right now. ⁣ ⁣ You, brave soul, are doing a great job navigating a very difficult time.⁣ ⁣ Go bravely, warriors. ✨

Happy Tuesday lovelies! I feel like I need to address each day when I post, otherwise it’ll just become a complete blur 🤣 just me? I’m sure many of us have been feeling pretty anxious over the past couple of weeks, I know I have 🙈 but yesterday was the first day I’ve managed to actually get some work done without thinking about the news. I guess it makes it harder when you’re confined to your four walls, but here are a few ideas to help your anxiety while we’re at home 💖 I definitely recommend limiting the amount of media you watch/read. I’ve managed to do this over the past couple of days and even though I’ve dipped in and out on the odd day, i haven’t been focused on it 24/7, so it’s given my mind a lot of breathing space. Podcasts are also the dream right now, I’ve rediscovered @the .healthcode and their episodes are really uplifting, plus the hosts are hilarious!
