Favourite meal this week 👌 * Chilli Tiger Prawns and Rice - With a cheeky but (but clean enough dessert ) * INGREDIENTS * Tiger prawns Basmati rice Red onion Tomatoes Turmeric. Garlic,. Wherever your mind is, whatever feelings may come and go, take yourself back to the moments that made you laugh, the moments you were truly present, the moments that genuinely took your breath away. Use these moments as motivation. . ✨ Set an intention every day - even if that intention is just to get out of bed and eat something in the morning. Our bodies are always sending us messages. They want to be in balance. They want to feel good. And they know we’ll feel good if we let them. But many of us resist the messages they send and try to ‘willpower’ and muscle our way through everything. There’s beauty in understanding what these messages are and responding to them with love. For instance, part of why we eat emotionally is because we are confusing signals. When our emotional health is so-so, our emotional brain wants to feel different, better. This area talks a lot to our feeding brain. And this appetite center gets confused and thinks we’ll feel better if we eat. And ya, ok, food feels better for a while, but that wanting for something else doesn’t go away. The solution isn’t in restricting. The solution is to go to the root of the problem. And this can be scary. But part of allowing is also allowing things to feel uncomfortable so growth can occur. Indeed, major shifts are often uncomfortable, but that’s how they transform us. Appetite mastery is about allowing messages to come up, lovingly exploring what the messages mean, and responding in a way that promotes our overall balance. I’ll have my pizza with a side of ranch please, hold the guilt. You are allowed to eat food you enjoy! Gone are the days of skipping pizza with my family and just having the dry salad OR eating so much pizza because I finally “gave in” and being sick the rest of the night. *******************************************************Giving myself permission to eat in a satisfying way without guilt or shame took away that compulsion/restriction cycle. Of course not every time I eat is it exactly what I want, that’s not realistic. But rather I have given myself permission to eat in a satisfying way when possible. I still eat past fullness sometimes (that’s normal ) I don’t always eat exactly what I want because it’s not an option at that time (that’s normal too ) *******************************************************Don’t buy into the lie that diet culture is selling that you are powerless over yummy food so you have to restrict and control everything! Yes, it may feel that way right now, but at the heart of this is almost always an issue with restriction (physical and mental ) and needing permission. This is not easy to work on and I highly recommend getting some professional support if possible, but I promise you there is so much freedom and peace found in Intuitive Eating.

copycat reese’s peanut butter eggs🍫🥜 my absolute fav candy & the eggs are way because more peanut butter😎 this recipe is an old on & on my blog but here’s how you do it👇🏻 . -1 cup peanut butter -1/4 cup almond flour, coconut flour, or maybe oat flour (just blend oats until flour-like consistency! ) have been asked about all-purpose flour & i’m not sure if it would work! you could though🙊 -1/4 cup maple syrup -1 cup chocolate chips -1 tbsp butter, ghee, or coconut oil . in a small mixing bowl, mix together pb, maple syrup, & almond flour. you want the pb to be a consistency where you can form it. roll 1 tbsp of pb mixture and flatten into a disc on a lined baking sheet. keep in the fridge for about 30 min! then, melt your chocolate with whatever fat you’re using. dip each pb circle in the chocolate & place back onto the baking sheet. sprinkle with coarse sea salt & let the chocolate harden in the fridge. remove from the pan & store in the fridge in a container!🙌🏻 . hope you enjoy them if you make them🥰

it’s friday and the weekend is rolling around, but with the quarantine, it’s always time to make something N E W - like these LEMON CHIA SEED MUFFINS with a lemon glaze! 🍋 i wanted to make lemon poppyseed muffins but realized i had no poppyseeds... but hey, these were a great alternative!! honestly, my mood recently is defined as baking and cooking. there’s true excitement when the timer goes off 😆 there’s even more excitement when you take that anticipated satisfying first bite in 👌🏼👌🏼 i might bake some chocolate chip blondies in a bit. happy friday! hope you’re all staying safe and making the best of all this 💗 —————————— ingredients: makes 9 muffins 1/2 cup maple syrup 1/2 cup @fourthandheart ghee, melted 3 tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 cup @newbarnorganics almond milk 2/3 cup yogurt 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup whole wheat flour 2 tbsp lemon zest 2 tbsp chia seeds 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp sea salt lemon glaze: 1 cup @woodstockfoods confectioners (powdered ) sugar, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tbsp almond milk —————————— directions: 1. preheat oven to 350 F. prepare muffin tin with liners, spray with oil. 2. in a large mixing bowl, mix together maple syrup, melted butter, lemon juice, vanilla extract and almond milk. mix in yogurt. 3. in another large mixing bowl, add flours, lemon zest, chia seeds, baking powder, baking soda and sea salt. mix well. add dry ingredients into wet ingredients. 4. transfer batter into muffin tins until 2/3 full. bake for 18-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 5. while the muffins are baking, prepare lemon glaze. drizzle on top of muffins after muffins are cooled for 10 minutes. **these are best the same day they’re made! store extras in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freezer up to 1 month! #winniesbalance


HONEYYY sesame soba noodles! it’s asian-inspired and light in flavor! when it comes to noodles, it’s really all about the sauce to bring flavor. this sauce is made with sesame oil, cashew butter, honey and tamari! soba noodles are made from both buckwheat and wheat flour. “soba” is the japanese name for buckwheat! if you have 15 minutes to boil noodles, mix together a sauce and saute veggies, i got you!! 👊🏼 —————————— ingredients: 4 oz soba noodles 1 cup broccoli 1 red bell pepper, cut into strips 1 whole carrot, cut into strips 1/2 cup edamame toppings: green onions and sesame seeds **honey sesame sauce: 2 tbsp sesame oil 2 tbsp @woodstockfoods cashew butter 2 tbsp @wedderspoonofficial manuka honey 2 tbsp tamari 1 1/2 tbsp rice vinegar 1 garlic clove, minced —————————— directions: 1. in a large pot, cook noodles according to package instructions. drain and add back into pot. 2. mix together sauce; sesame oil, cashew butter, honey, tamari, rice vinegar and garlic, then leave to side. 3. in a medium skillet, heat up 1 tbsp sesame oil and cook broccoli, red bell peppers and carrot strips for 1 minute. 4. add veggies into pot with noodles and edamame. pour sauce all over and toss to coat! garnish with fresh green onions and sesame seeds on top! #winniesbalance


easy garlic and veg noodles for lunch today 😋 these took under 15 mins and tasted so so good 😍😍😍 recipe below! Serves 2 Ingredients: - 2 blocks ramen noodles - cooked according to packet instructions - 1 tbsp olive oil - 3-4 cloves garlic, crushed - 1/2 a red bell pepper, finely chopped - 1/2 a green bell pepper, finely chopped - 1 carrot, finely chopped - 2 tbsp soy sauce - 2-3 tbsp maple syrup (or you can use brown sugar ) - 2 tsp rice vinegar (optional ) 1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. 2. Add the crushed garlic and cook for a minute. 3. Add in the diced veggies and cook for 5 minutes - stirring often. 4. Add the soy sauce, maple syrup and rice vinegar and cook for 2 minutes. 5. Stir in the cooked ramen noodles and cook for 1 minute, ensuring the noodles and veggies are well incorporated. Serve sprinkled with sesame seeds and enjoy! 🥰

That's because the MOST important thing we can do as parents, is to help our kids have a good relationship with food:⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ 💚Balanced meals with no pressure to eat or finish their plate⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ 💚Learn to listen to their bodies:⁠⠀ - starting with very small portions⁠⠀ - removing distractions from eating (screens, toys, etc. )⁠⠀ - never praising or criticizing based on what they did or didn't eat⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ 💚Have a meal/snack routine - aim for a meal/snack every 2.5-4 hours (with no food and only water in between )⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ 💚Eat together for 20-30 minutes. Start with just a few minutes and work up to this with little ones! We started with 2 minutes. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ 💚Don't discuss weight or weight loss with kids.
