As I sit here procrastinating today’s workout before I have to do the school run, I thought I’d share this from the weekend! Get both me and you in the mood for a Monday session! ⁣ ⁣ A ‘lovely’ little tri-set focusing on the posterior chain of muscles, especially those glutes! 🍑 ⁣ ⁣ I love nothing better than super setting my exercises, one after the other to increase the intensity and 🔥 of my workouts. You guys know this by now from my classes! ⁣ ⁣ And when I say I can feel these today, I’m not lying! Hence the procrastination for today’s workout! Well that, and it’s cold! 🤣⁣ ⁣ This is what I grouped together:⁣ ⁣ 5 rounds:⁣ ⁣ 1. Deadlifts ⁣ 2. Cable pull throughs⁣ 3. Cable kick backs⁣ ⁣ At the end of this I took the weight of my deadlifts down and repped out to failure for 3 rounds. Both me and my muscles were screaming! ⁣ ⁣ And please don’t think I don’t contemplate putting off my workouts. Of course I do! But I know how I’ll feel afterwards so will get it done. I’ve got goals to hit after all! ⁣ ⁣ So dig deep and get it done! ✔️

Winter is coming - Bulk life Vs Shred Life Which one are you? - Does it really matter not really if you ask me. I was more towards the photo on the left for years, enjoying training and getting in the gym. - Photo on the right took a good few months worth of dieting and watching what I eat more. It was worth while experience and not just from a aesthetics point of view. - I was more disciplined with my eating and it taught me a lot about nutrition and training. CALORIE-DEFICIT is like the magic word nowadays whenever you read or listen to how fitness trainers or nutrition coaches chant whenever someone asks for weight-loss advice. In our previous post, you have seen how fitness watches are not entirely accurate when it comes to tracking the amount of calories you have burnt in that workout session. Factors such as your physically activity, body composition, body size and workout form are not taken into account, which are crucial and play a part when it comes to calculating the amount of calories burnt. Hence, we have spoken to a few nutrition coaches because we too are confused as how accurate these fitness trackers are and ultimately, how does one work towards a calorie-deficit? Throwing the magic word around is definitely easy but when it comes to the actual work and trying to execute it, it is not. We have been advised that since tracking your calories burnt is not accurate and you shouldn't be relying on it, instead you should be focusing on your calorie-intake. You have greater control over this than tracking your calorie-output. Using food calorie-calculator can help you keep track of what food, when and amount of calories you have consumed. There are some Apps which even provide a breakdown of the macros. That said, similarly, this may not be entirely accurate as well, since nothing is ever absolutely accurate, this is at least better than nothing. Plus, you have the discretion to exercise greater control - what you put in your mouth! The amount of calories burnt on your fitness tracker? Well, that can be some sort of estimated gauge but the main focus should really be your calorie-consumption! It’s a proud moment to be able to finish this #75hard program that kicked my ass but learned many lessons. Ive been wanting to give up since day 25 and I magically pushed through. . I gained some awesome habits that I most likely will never let go because it makes me feel good and better about myself. A tremendous program. . It’s not a workout routine, it’s a mindset course that will make you a better version of yourself 🦾 . Thanks to @andyfrisella for making this shit easier by making the app and thanks to the @1stphorm #phamily for the continued support throughout the 75 days. . Sometimes I like to have some fun and bust out a pre-workout routine or freestyle to a catchy pumpy track. On this occasion, I chose AC/DC's 'Back In Black' 🤘 The workout itself, I went with a workout from the Me Fitness/Better Me app. There was a lot of different exercises but I only included a selection of them in this post (I did a lot more, more than I usually do ). A lot of exercises but shorter exercises so I felt like I did more. I like the workout music on this app too, it definitely got me going. At the end, I added a hula hoop freestyle and 'Holy Harbour' by @meute_official was my track of choice.
