Searching for some home gym equipment seems to be the new toilet roll episode but what if I told you that you don’t need a pair of weights to progress? . ❓Are you still struggling with your diet? . ❓Is your sleep quality still a issue? . ❓Do you find your constant stress is influencing your day to day life? . ❓When was the last time you mastered some body weight movements? . ❓When was the last time you ran without being out of breath? . ❓Or when was the last time you didn’t feel that constant niggling injury? . . | THANK YOU 🌿 | Since the beginning of our Lockdown in Italy (almost a month ago now.. ), I’ve been missing teaching. The students, the practice together, and everything that comes with it. So I decided to start filming online classes for a YouTube channel I had recently set up. This choice was a little weird for me as I’ve never filmed anything before (listening to yourself speak is always a bit cringe 🙈 ), and when I teach I like to base my classes off of whose attending class, and generally improvise off of the energy in the room. So when I started filming classes I would rewatch them and think ‘oh I could add this here’, or ‘oh that’s not perfect, I have to completely redo it’. But then I realized my classes, whether in person or online, are never perfect. This is one of the great experiences of yoga. We are always growing, learning, improving in one way or another. So thank you to this weird time in our lives where things are far from perfect, but we are taking it all one day at a time. Thank you to everyone who has practiced with me either in person, or maybe even online now. Thank you to everyone who has, or continues to support me back home in Canada, in my second home in Dublin, and my new home in Florence 🙏🏼

New month, new mindset ✨ . Weight gain is cool right? You might not notice a huge difference between these pictures but I do, I’m about 10 lbs lighter on the left (taken in October ) Being honest, I’ve struggled quite a bit with body image/weight gain, I think a big part of it is this whole isolation situation and being out of my usual routine. I made the decision at the start of the year that I wanted to gain muscle, I knew it would be difficult mentally and I’m just being open about it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Naturally my mind wants me to “cut” or “diet”, but I’m reallyyy trying not to listen to that because I know I’m not ready to do a cut yet, I wouldn’t be doing it for the right reasons and it can easily get too restrictive. I’m constantly reminding myself that being “thinner” or “smaller” will not make me happy, I was miserable when I took that picture on the left, I hated my body and still thought I had to lose more weight 😔 your mental happiness is always the most important thing, how you look on the outside won’t make you happy especially not in the long term, so stop thinking that changing your body will change how you feel about yourself 😎 I don’t really have much more advice lol, the main reason I started this page was to make people feel less alone but also to make myself believe what I’m writing in these captions, I preach a lot about mental health and positivity but honestly I need to read my own captions more 😅 so if you’re struggling with this know that you’re not alone, this entire situation is temporary and we can get back to our normal routines soon enough (as long as everyone follows the rules stay @ home ok ) all my love ❤️

Every day life as we know it has indefinitely put on hold. Though I feel like just about everyone needed a rest and recharge period, it’s easy to let that get away from us. Do NOT use this time to slack off and let your goals get away from you. DO use this time to put your head down and work EVEN HARDER - because what else do you have to do? Besides work (if you’re still working like myself ), attack your goals head on in the spare time you’ve gained. These are the cards we’ve been dealt. Use what resources you have to continue forward. In this time, the weak will get weaker and the strong will get stronger. At the end of this, both will be exposed. 👊🏼
