What are your thoughts? I've been forcing myself to walk barefoot on gravel for months trying to toughen up my feet and defeat my inner bitch a bit through constantly doing something I dont enjoy. This mentality was instantly switched on when seeing the stoic from @monkii .co going in for the stock in socks or bare feet can be brutal and take you out of your element in a hurry. “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable” If ya didn’t know, I read (listen ) to a lot of personal development books—one of the many things this coaching gig has taught me is that it’s important to train and grow your mind just as much as your body. And I notice a common theme among most of them—you don’t grow or become ‘better’ or stronger or closer to your goals by ONLY doing the things that feel comfortable. You’ve got to push past your perceived limits and get outside of that comfort zone and do those ‘scary’ things or you’ll just stay exactly where you are. 🤔 One of the things that’s always been outside of my comfort zone is running. 🏃🏻‍♀️ I’ve never enjoyed it. I’ve always thought the people who love to run or use it as their escape were straight out of their minds. I don’t like the feeling of being out of breath. I’ve always told myself I couldn’t do it, I’m not a runner. Buuuuuuut, a new running program is launching soon and ya know what, I’m going to get uncomfortable & give it a shot. Because that’s the way to grow! 🌻 I’m curious to know, when it comes to running, which number are you?! 👆🏼I’ve run a few marathons and love them! ✌🏼Running is my fav form of exercise and I do it often. 👌🏼I like to run but don’t do it enough 🖖🏼I’m not much of a runner but I’ve always wanted to try a 5k 🤚🏼I ONLY run if I’m being chased

When all the hard work final pays off 😬 • THIS IS WHAT WE NEED TO BEAT - BUT HOW WE ARE GOING TO DO IT?! • If you saw yesterdays post you will of read that this week was a week of easing back to training, relaxed off any major plan, just allowed my body physically & mentally get into a good state. • But NOW it’s time to push!!! Body is recovered, mentally I feel focused & ready to work harder than ever towards my goals. We know my weaknesses & what needs to be done, now it’s a case fo putting a plan into action. • The new plan is now put in place, the goals are set & we are ready to go!! The food will be pushed & the training set to allow my body to grow most efficiently as it can, once a stage is hit where we need to back off a bit we will, but for now & for the next 10 weeks we grow!!!! • Time to get comfortable being uncomfortable. Say goodbye to the abs a bit, mentally tell myself it’s okay to eat certain foods & sauces, focus my sessions on lifting weight, hitting volume & intensity more than ever but also resting more efficiently to allow maximum growth. • All boxes will be ticked during the stage to make sure we come back next year with no stone unturned & believe me now.. The reason why you haven’t achieved your goals is because you’re too comfortable. Trust me, I’ve been there. Being in a comfort zone is convenient, cozy, and comfy. I realized a long time ago that being comfortable is EXACTLY what held me back from my full potential. I had to break the restraints of comfort and develop a new mindset. I needed to do so in order to position and leverage opportunities that were sitting right in front of me. Right now some of you are there squandering opportunities right in front of you. Some of you are running your organizations on auto-pilot, not knowing a tsunami of change is coming and you’re not prepared to handle it when it hits. Some of you have personal areas in your life you want to improve but you’re too scared or afraid what others may think of you. Here is my promise to you if you stay comfortable, you’ll never get better and WON’T grow. You have to take that first step. Get comfortable being uncomfortable because great things happen outside your comfort zone. Let me back up a little and tell you the story about how I stepped out of my comfort zone. About 3 years ago after moving home and back in with my parents I remember my mom coming home from work one day to tell me a gym was opening up down the street from our house. She was telling me this because the owner is a donor for our children’s charity, she was also telling me this as a way to encourage all of us to get a gym membership and get healthier. Y’all I straight up LAUGHED. Laughed so dang hard my belly hurt because I WAS NOT A GYM PERSON. I mean I was the kid in highschool bringing the same note every dang day to my gym teacher from that very same mom saying I was excused from any physical activities... more on that in another post. Safe to say I completely forgot about my moms amazing attempt at steering me in a positive direction until I got very sick, wound up in the hospital for an emergency surgery and then gained 40lbs during my 6 months of recovery. I was the most depressed I’d ever been, the guy I was dating just broke up with me for having gained all that weight, I was broken, I felt lost and then I did something I honestly never thought I would do. I joined a gym, I started working out 5 days a week and eating well, I packed lunches, I bought an obnoxiously massive 2L bottle for my daily water intake and I went ALL IN on finding myself and the love I had for the healthier, happier me. Fast forward 3 years and now I’m a wellness and nutrition coach helping other women take back control of their lives the very same way I have. P.s. I give huge thanks to my mom for putting what has been the most life changing idea into my head. This little boy is such a blessing in our lives, he really does keep us busy. I try and incorporate his gear into our training a few days a week so every time he gets more comfortable with it like it’s not even there. He really is a good sport, and wants to get a “Good Boy!! ” as much as he can. He will be running his gear this winter at the property with me, while he clean it up.
