Prep will ALWAYS be hard. . I did this in 2 years. Let me tell you about both preps. . Picture 1 - calories were around 2200 the last 4 weeks of prep and never got lower than 2000. Picture 2 - calories were around 1600 the last 4 weeks of prep and got as low as 1200. . Picture 1 - 73kg on stage. Picture 2 - 82kg on stage. . Picture 1 - 40 minutes cardio daily. Picture 2 - 90 minutes cardio daily. . I have had offseasons between these pictures where food got super high and muscle was built. BUT this doesn't mean that all of a sudden I can diet on loads of food and low cardio. People seem to forget that you will ALWAYS have to dig in to achieve a respectable level of condition on stage. There is no way around it. . Everyone wants all the food in the offseason but aren't willing to have little food on prep. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. Make the progress in the offseason and take the fat off when it's time. Do what is necessary in both phases. . You want to push food up super high? Cool. Prepare for low appetite, to be uncomfortable and to hate the sight of food. You can progress in a SURPLUS it doesn't have to be a 2000 calorie surplus. Who cares how much food you're eating? If you're getting stronger weekly, looking better, recovering and enjoying things then IT IS WORKING. . I do not care what Joe blogs is eating and what their coach does. I care about the feedback YOU GIVE ME based on YOU. .

When you can’t run, you walk...a half marathon?🤔🤷🏻‍♂️ Been almost a month since I last ran and since then, I’ve walked nearly 80 miles. I’ve been inspired by everyone training hard and racing virtually. No it’s not the same as running. Not even close. But, it’s something. So rather than sit around and feel sorry for myself, I’m doing what I can.
