Tonight's reward for achieving something I honestly never thought I'd do. I started a CX Worx Class a few months or so ago and it was so hard I could never imagine the week I'd complete it from start to finish with even the light weights. Tonight I smashed it and some of it with the heaviest weights. I never thought I'd see the day I'd like hover and side planks and russian dead lifts. ❤️ 🧡 💛

(Back&Hamstrings ) Only 4 moves in total, but sometimes simple can be even harder than complicated. ✅ RDL+BOR combo ✅ Elevated RDLs ✅ Conventional deadlift ✅ Weighted pull-ups For the conventional deadlifts (which was the main focus for today ) I used a pyramid set count of: 12,10,8,6,4,4,6,8,10,12. Tips to make working out “EASIER”/MORE FUN 😁💪⠀ It can be challenging to find time/motivation/etc. to workout, and that's why I'm all for little things that make it easier to make your workouts happen! ⚡️Hydrate before/during/after - especially during AM workouts bc we naturally wake up a bit dehydrated after not drinking all night! Working out without being adequately hydrated is not only really stressful for your body, but it also makes things harder than they need to be!💦⠀ ⚡️Fuel your body with nutritious/balanced foods 1-2 hours before and within a couple hours after your workout. If I’m short on time, I’ll eat fruit for some quick energy before a workout! 🍌🍽⠀ ⚡️Plan your workouts in advance to stay organized and accountable 🗓 ⚡️Lay your workout gear out in advance/the night before 👟 Sometimes I even change into my workout clothes first thing in the morning so it's one less thing to do before your workout. ⚡️Play MUSIC that pumps you up 🎶⠀See MELROSE Training on @spotify ⚡️Do it with a friend/family member/colleague - even via Facetime 👯‍♀️📲 ⚡️Do what you love ...or if you're starting out, at least what you like - exercise should make your life brighter ☺️⠀ ⚡️Set up a designated space in your home or go outdoors for a change in scenery 🌳⠀ ⚡️Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable 👟 I get really excited about activewear but comfort/function comes first 🧢⠀ ⚡️Remember that moving and challenging your body is a privilege that not everyone has. WORKOUT WEDNESDAY: DUMBBELL FULL BODY ROUTINE Quick and easy workout to do when all the equipment at the gym is being used. 😃 3 SETS x 30 SECONDS 30 SECONDS REST IN BETWEEN SETS 1 ) SHOULDER PRESS: - keep core stabilized, do not arch your back for this exercise 2 ) PUSH-UP - standard push-up, refer to old videos on form 3 ) DUMBBELL ROW - this one is a little more difficult in movement, be sure to keep core tight, have your feet almost shoulder width apart, and engage your lats. Guide with your elbows. 4 ) STATIC ARM BICEP CURLS - simple movement, be sure to keep your elbows tucked, shoulders rolled back 5 ) DUMBBELL ROMANIAN DEADLIFT - roll your shoulders back, keep core engaged, knees at a slight bent, pushing your hips back as far you as you can, once you feel stretch in hamstrings lift up. Try not to hyperextend for that can lead to injury. 6 ) DUMBBELL SQUAT - keep core engaged, hips hinged, and assume squat position NO EXCUSES. GO OUT AND GET YOUR GAINS 💯💪🏻 Like ❤️ Comment 💬 Share ✨

Early morning’s call for coffee ☕️ - Coffee gives us energy through caffeine. Just like energy drinks. - Did you know Caffeine used to be banned in sports from the 1984 to 2005 due to the benefits it can play on our performance? - Caffeine can suppress appetite meaning we feel less hungry, which is great for fat loss benefits, as it allows us to consume fewer calories within the day. - It’s shown that it can improve endurance levels and resistance to fatigue. So it’s definitely a helpful tool but how much should we be drinking? - Most studies suggest 5-6mg per kilo of body weight. In one cup of coffee there is normally 90-100mg of caffeine. I often get to hear ‘hey! Life is meant to be enjoyed’. Sure, I agree with this but the problem is this is used to justify all kinds of crappy behaviour. Indulge in wafers, pizzas and weekend binging, because life is meant to be enjoyed, right? NO! You can do without junk food and still enjoy life. You can exercise and enjoy it.
