Min mave. Billederne er 3 år og et par kilo siden. Det første billede er min mave når jeg står op om morgenen, billede nr 2 er min mave efter morgenmaden, og det sidste billede er sådan jeg ser ud når jeg går i seng om aftenen. Jeg har tidligere talt om at min mave har været udskældt, ikke kun af mig selv, men i flere sammenhænge, og direkte kommenteret af min mor, min gamle balletlærer, en ekskæreste og sågar fremmede, der troede jeg var gravid. Det er altså ikke underligt at maven er min kæphest. Mit sværeste måltid er om morgenen fordi jeg ved at fra da af vil jeg skulle se gravid ud resten af dagen. Jeg har fået taget blodprøver, som ikke viste tegn på hverken gluten eller laktose intolerance, men noget får nu engang min mave til at puste sig op. I en periode spiste jeg på en måde, hvor jeg kunne havde samme flade mave hele dagen. Men fordi blodprøven på Rigshospitalet ikke viste noget, sagde diætisten at så måtte jeg ikke udelade noget fra min kost. What if the worst thing that happens durning quarantine is this👆during a global pandemic maybe there are some other concerns. It’s breaking my heart to see SOOO many posts about the fear of soft bellies, rolls and cellulite. Imagine scrolling through seeing folks post non-stop about their fear of gAining weight how horrible that would be and how they must do everything to stop it, that your body is the enemy and bodies of people you love. So stop it. Just stop it it really is hurtful to so many. I don’t know how much I’ve gained since ending restricted eating, I do know that I have and I do know that there are more frightening things than this belly and I’m doing my dangest to not perpetuate diet culture to my daughter and son and myself. And those I profited from with diet culture that pill is sooo hard to swallow. So here’s a scary soft belly and some cellulite and I lived to tell the tale. 🤣 ok ok How about an egg roll in a bowl??!! 🤤 🤤 Ingredients: 16oz. shredded cabbage, 1 lb. ground beef, or turkey or pork 1 onion, chopped 1 T. sesame oil 1 T. rice vinegar 1/4 cup coconut aminos 3 garlic cloves, or more (feel free to use jarred if easier ) 2 tsp. minced ginger (feel free to use jarred if easier ) 3 scallions, chopped & sesame seeds (optional ) to garnish 2 tablespoons of spicy mayo, to drizzle over the top at the end Directions: Start by heating up a large skillet or pot and spraying with nonstick cooking spray. Over low to medium heat, sauté the beef and onions and feel free to season additionally with salt and black pepper. While the meat cooks up, use your spatula every few minutes to break up the meat and move around the pan. In the meantime, combine the coconut aminos, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger and garlic in a bowl or jar and set aside. Once meat is about 2/3 cooked through, 5-7 minutes later, add cabbage to the meat mixture, stirring to combine. Cover the pot and cook on low heat for an additional 5-7 minutes, so the cabbage is nice and wilted. Prior to serving, drain excess liquid from the pot (only if you like- I prefer the excess liquid but most people don’t ). Pour sesame oil mix over the top and stir to combine. Divide the page in half and on one side I want you to write down ALL THE FACTS. On the other side I want you to write down all your thoughts / predictions. Now that you can differentiate the facts and the stuff you are making up, allow yourself to spend some time reading over the facts. - 🧠 THOUGHTS - There is a pandemic going on at the moment and we are all going to catch Covid 19 and die. 📈 FACTS - There is a pandemic going on at the moment and statistics show that there is a low death rate if I do catch the virus. - 🧠 THOUGHTS - I am going to lose my job, i won't be able to pay my bills, i will loose my house and everything around me and will be left with nothing. 📈 FACTS - Whilst there is alot of people loosing there jobs, the government has advised that there will be funding available, this won't last forever its just for a while for our safety. There are a lot of people feeling this pressure also. I am not alone. See the difference between your rational brain and irrational brain? If you are constantly believing your irrational thoughts, and not the facts, your anxiety will heighten. Remember the only thing you CAN control at the moment is your thoughts about the situation. ALMOND CHAGA CHAI OATMEAL (save for later! ) 🤍⠀ ⠀ I’ve made this 3 days in a row + can’t stop. I. Am. Obsessed. ⠀ ⠀ This oatmeal has everything — protein, fibre, complex carbs, healthy fats, and my favourite...adaptogens! ⠀ ⠀ Adaptogens help our bodies adapt to everything — from stress, to mood, to immunity...and chaga is one of my go-tos.⠀ ⠀ I found this amazing chaga chai tea from @lightcellar ... you can order it online and get it shipped right to your door. ⠀ ⠀ Read below for the recipe👇🏽⠀ ⠀ WHAT YOU NEED (organic when possible ):⠀ ⠀ 2 cups almond milk ⠀ 1 cup steel cut or rolled oats (steel cut are the least processed FYI )⠀ 2 tbsp chaga chai ⠀ Maple syrup to taste ⠀ 1-2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes ⠀ ⠀ HOW TO: ⠀ ⠀ Bring 2 cups of almond milk to a simmer. While milk is coming to a simmer, add 2 tbsp of chaga chai to a tea filter and add it to the milk. Once milk has come to a simmer add 1 cup of oats. Leave the tea bag + allow it to steep while the oats cook. Once the oats are cooked (between 10-20 minutes ), remove the tea bag, and serve the oatmeal in two bowls. Another day, another meal using what we have on hand. This meal was absolutely delicious, but I would be lying if I didn't say I am getting a little tired of eating the same things in my fridge and pantry and not having the ability to go to the store on a whim. Don't get me wrong, I am beyond grateful to have a stocked fridge and freezer and food available to me during this time, but can anyone else relate? It really makes you think as well - these things that once seem so mundane, are actually huge things in our lives that can bring a lot of joy. And some people never even get to experience them like we do. It really makes you look at the big picture of life and what is important. Would I like to eat some different veggies, sure, but there are much more important things to worry about. I used to think that food freedom meant that if I gave myself permission to have whatever, I WOULDN’T STOP EATING😅😅😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I could just imagine me barreling through bowls of ice cream🍦... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bags of chips🥨... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Entire pizza pies🍕... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not a veggie in sight and 50 lbs heavier overnight😅😅😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was so much more comfortable in my food rollercoaster of “eating clean” and “screw it eating”... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ever feel that way?? I’ve never shared this before... . Let’s make feeling FULLY ALIVE the goal. . It is in our darkest moments. Our greatest fears, that a touch of grace appears. . If you sit with yourself long enough, and listen through the fear, you’ll hear it.That faint whisper, telling us exactly what we need to do in order to save ourselves. . Against our will. Wisdom eventually comes. We are then able to make the right choice and do the very thing we should have done before we hit rock bottom. . For me, bread is like a bad boyfriend. I keep breaking up with it, then I give it another chance. At first the reunion is blissful. Then it's just disgusting, too much, and leaves me feeling sick to my stomach and stupid that I thought it could work out. I've shared before about my self proclaimed bread-cracker-chip addiction. I'm sharing again because it's still a problem. Like an alcoholic cannot have just a drink or two, I seem unable to have just one or two. A few indulgences leads me into an unhealthy spiral of major overconsumption and guilt, and sometimes, weight gain. . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the spirit of honesty and transparency, I want you to know that being healthy, losing and maintaining weight is not *easy* for me. You are what you eat. ⁣ ⁣ Does that mean you want to be fast, easy, and cheap? We'll maybe 🙈⁣ ⁣ However, that doesn't mean you can't be healthy, too!⁣ ⁣ The chicken is from Aldi. The rice is from Trader Joes. Minimal artificial ingredients and additives. Start to finish, this took literally 15 minutes. And we have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. ⁣ ⁣ This cost less, was definitely more nutrient based, and might have even been faster than take out. And the best part? I wont have any sluggish after effects or reactions to questionable preservatives!⁣ ⁣ So I may be fast, easy, and cheap, but at least I'm not fake 💁‍♀️

Hands up 🙌🏻if you’ve bought some extra frozen or canned veggies in the past week! . I’ve lost track of the amount of times I’ve been asked by you guys in the past week if it’s healthy to eat frozen or canned veggies. 🤪And here is my answer: 1,000% YES! . TBH, even during non-social distancing times I STILL have frozen veggies for dinner most nights of the week. 🤷‍♀️Why? They’re way easier for me than fresh (thanks steamable bags! ) and are also affordable. 🤩Win-win. . I always say eat what you like/have access to/can afford. A veggie that is fresh/frozen/canned is a better option than eating no veggies if that’s what your bod wants. Don’t over complicate things and try to say “well, if I eat it fresh it has a touch more fiber” Seriously. Don’t. 🙅‍♀️That tiny amount of whatever it is you read about on the internet is NOT going to make a big difference. What might make a big difference is avoiding veggies because they’re not fresh. . Yes, I agree that fresh does usually taste best, but again, sometimes we just gotta go with the flow and what’s available. 👇Some ways I love to add more flavor to canned or frozen veggies are: . 💫A little butter or EVOO (yes, adding this is fine! ) 💫Salt (yes, adding this is fine, too! ) 💫Everything but the bagel seasoning 💫Parmesan cheese 💫Nutritional yeast . Nutrition shouldn’t be so complicated, girlfriends. 😘Let’s not over think this. Especially when we’ve got some bigger fish to fry! . ALMOND CHAGA CHAI OATMEAL (save for later! ) 🤍⠀ ⠀ I’ve made this 3 days in a row + can’t stop. I. Am. Obsessed. ⠀ ⠀ This oatmeal has everything — protein, fibre, complex carbs, healthy fats, and my favourite...adaptogens! ⠀ ⠀ Adaptogens help our bodies adapt to everything — from stress, to mood, to immunity...and chaga is one of my go-tos.⠀ ⠀ I found this amazing chaga chai tea from @lightcellar ... you can order it online and get it shipped right to your door. ⠀ ⠀ Read below for the recipe👇🏽⠀ ⠀ WHAT YOU NEED (organic when possible ):⠀ ⠀ 2 cups almond milk ⠀ 1 cup steel cut or rolled oats (steel cut are the least processed FYI )⠀ 2 tbsp chaga chai ⠀ Maple syrup to taste ⠀ 1-2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes ⠀ ⠀ HOW TO: ⠀ ⠀ Bring 2 cups of almond milk to a simmer. While milk is coming to a simmer, add 2 tbsp of chaga chai to a tea filter and add it to the milk. Once milk has come to a simmer add 1 cup of oats. Leave the tea bag + allow it to steep while the oats cook. Once the oats are cooked (between 10-20 minutes ), remove the tea bag, and serve the oatmeal in two bowls. Top with yummy maple syrup + unsweetened coconut flakes or any other topping you’d like! ⠀ ⠀ That’s it! So, so good. ⠀ ⠀ Enjoy! Let me know if you decide to make this 🤍

Anyone else currently spending their time lazing on the couch wearing cute matching active wear with zero intention of being active, surrounded by a buffet of snacks? ⠀ ⠀ Well that was my day today and I have zero regrets haha. It all started with watching one tiktok video and before long I fell deep into the tiktok vortex and that is snacky work! 😂⠀ ⠀ All jokes aside, I no longer allow lazy, snacky days to evoke feelings of shame or guilt within me because I give myself permission to eat what people might call ‘shitty’ foods without allowing it to dictate my worth. ⠀ ⠀ Now more than ever we need to be kind to ourselves. With diet culture breathing down our necks trying to make us fear weight gain as if it’s the worst thing that might possibly happen to us during this pandemic, (Um hello people are dying, that is actually horrific ), it can be hard maintain a positive body image right now. ⠀ ⠀ But I promise you that you are terrific no matter what your body looks like and your eating and exercise habits don’t dictate your worth - there is zero correlation between the two, now or ever. ⠀ ⠀ So please don’t be so hard on yourself; if you’re comfort, boredom or stress eating right now, it is OK! Don’t get down on yourself about it. I recommend seeking joyful ways to move your body (if you feel like it ) because you love it, not it because you’re scared of it changing a little and if you’re happiest lazing on the couch, that’s ok too! Life looks a bit different right now (or a lot of different ) - and we want to share that it’s okay if you resonate with any of these food / body / movement challenges. . It’s okay that you may not be able to move your body the way you want right now, it’s okay to stress eat, boredom eat, comfort eat, snack all day, and have challenges with your body image - it’s okay, it’s okay, it’s okay! Judgement, shame, and guilt around it won’t help anyway. . Give yourself compassion - and know this is a normal human response to life. . AND please know you can do the best you can to feel good in your body. Do your best to move in ways you can, something indoors? An online class you do at home? A walk outside (if you can keep your distance away from people )? Allow yourself to eat what you want and tune into your body while eating - what feels good right now? Whatever that is, that’s up to you. . So be gentle, this is an interesting time in all of our lives so allow yourself to go with the flow - and do the best you can, that’s all you can do! .
