Morning more from #didyouknow check this ex from the #yogi world. Love this one specially with my #hipreplacement (s ) really not sure about the #systemic help but care on the help knees. To the contrary be careful and please not outside the mat. The medial margins ( inside ) can be tender anyway so not out side the mat in-fact I increase support on my own knees. If you have #kneepain not recommended as risk/ reward. Here’s what I said previously about stretching, How long do you hold your stretch, well being an egg head I look at the research and the jury’s out a bit. For sure less than 15 secs seems so so, 15-30 better and more than 60 ineffective! Things important to think about which influences your stretch 1. #musclefatigue 2. #scartissue 3. #muscle temperature ( how warm you are ) 4. Activity prior to stretch ( personally I never stretch a cold muscle ) 5. #collegen #elasticity varies with age 6. #hydration #dehydration 7. Some medical conditions effect the ability of your connective tissues to stretch such as #diabetes also #smoking . Clearly the question is, do you stretch ? My advise is and what I do for my old chasis, is that I mobilise first - do my workout and always #postworkout stretch ! Make sure you breathe, reach end of range and back off to stop tendon irritation. #didyouknow I have seen in clinic #yogis with a condition called creep ! It’s when the joint has simply been overstretched following many years of practice. This is a painful and problem! I took a FOUR DAY rest period which I haven’t done in a very long time. For months I have felt a bit off track with my workouts. Between trying to sort out a whole new life and work schedule and having adrenal fatigue thrown in there...I felt too tired and out of sorts to do what I normally do. I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling this way raise your hand below🙋‍♀️ ). I’m happy to say that October has finally been my month! Between all these sunny days we have had and just generally feeling stronger again I feel more like myself. I thought I would share my new workout schedule with you below. Monday- Leg Day Tuesday- 60 min power walk between clients then a 30 min run at night Wednesday-Arms and Abs Thursday- 60 min power walk or Rest Day Friday-30 min run and 30-40 min of circuit training Saturday-grab bag (whatever isn’t too sore )-60 min workout Sunday- Rest Day I’ve found some balance again with my workouts and hopefully sharing my workout schedule helps you to schedule yours! 📷 @amandalcam

Today’s miles & all the smiles were first fueled by stopping to ask some kids playing basketball if I could play, then to beat them in a game of lightning before carrying on with my run. I’m here to say competitiveness doesn’t decrease with age. 😅 Coach just shook his head at this as I continued to laugh. Basketball will forever be my favorite sport. I happily accept competition anytime! Two days out from my virtual 26.2 and I am feeling so hyped, relaxed, energized and ready to RUN.
