There was no significant effect of abdominal exercises on body weight, body fat percentage, android fat percentage, android fat, abdominal circumference, abdominal skinfold and suprailiac skinfold measurements. 🐰 Rapid Fat Loss Vs. Sustainable Fat Loss 🐢 ⁠ ⁠ When you start out with losing weight, you're probably really motivated (otherwise you wouldn't have started, right? )⁠ ⁠ And you might lose a lot of weight really fast, which shows you're motivated, and that's great!⁠ ⁠ But when you rely on motivation alone, that's where things start to go wrong...⁠ ⁠ Being on a very restricted diet, detox or cleanse is doable (and sometimes fun when you're seeing the scale move down quickly ) but you're usually fueled by your motivation.⁠ ⁠ You can hold on and power through for 7 days, maybe 3 weeks or even a whole month.⁠ ⁠ Then, after saying no to, drinks, cakes and chocolate and other things you might really enjoy...⁠ ⁠ Just as a fire that's been burning strong for a while starts to dimish and fade. In the same way your motivation dies down.⁠ ⁠ And soon, you're starting to go back to your old habits, perhaps even throw in a binge, that follows with feelings of shame and guilt.⁠ ⁠ And without having created any new sustainable habits, you end up regaining the weight back (sometimes even more than when you began ).⁠ ⁠ Listen... This approach might've worked for someone else, but for most people, it's not going to get you where you want to be.⁠ ⁠ Instead, practice patience. This isn't a race, and if it were, the only one in it is YOU. So, take your time. Get yourself ready to make some mistakes, learn from them, and move on. It's okay. It's all part of your process.⁠ ⁠ And as long as you keep learning from your mistakes, adjusting things to your own life, and give yourself a break from feeling guilty, you'll be removing the binges that usually follows, as well as the feelings of failure.⁠ ⁠ As long as you don't quit, you can't fail.⁠ ⁠ So take your time.⁠ ⁠ Find ways to enjoy the process.⁠ ⁠ Don't rush.⁠ ⁠ You got this.⁠ ⁠ - Jonas⁠ ⁠
