Workout from Home – Day 5 . . Everyone says online that you need proper weights to get lean mass and stay strong. What’s missing in this thought process is that there are so many modalities of fitness that we tend to lose sight on when we lift weights. I know I do and these #gymwithdrawals are intense. But never fear, by working on other modalities of fitness outside of strength (Balance/Coordination ), we in fact become stronger from a postural level that we can lift more weight once we get the green light to go into the gym. . . As with Day 4, I am here to offer free workouts and programs to help you during this time of need. All I ask is for your help to spread this information to others (tag and share @kitlifts ). Then, complete each superset for 4 rounds before moving onto the next superset (90 to 120 seconds after each circuit ) 1. Squat Reach (12 reps per side ) with Jumping Lunges (5 Reps per leg ) 2. Tempo pushup or Banded Pushup (12 Reps ) with Power Burpees (5 Reps ) 3. Plank-Up Reach (12 reps total ) with 1 Minute Plank . Finish with 3 sets of Cat and Cows – Hold abdominal and lower back contraction for a few seconds before releasing.

i love this full body pilates flow in the studio! . bodyweight pilates workouts have slowly become my new favorite over the years. the deep intrinsic strength and control it takes to flow through each move is so much more challenging than a bootcamp workout for me. but the most challenging and most FUN part is finding the ease in every move. setting your pride aside and modifying - because even the modifications are extremely challenging & effective with this deep, full body work! 💪🏾 . has anyone tried this one yet? i love it!

What if this is our one shot, our one opportunity, our one moment to seize what we want, but we are wasting it away on Netflix, siting on the couch, and not moving toward our goals. Last night, I made those moves towards those goals. Planning out Q2 for my business and holding myself accountable by sharing it with one of my business partners. This morning I made another move toward my fitness & health goals by starting a new boxing program at home. Held myself accountable by getting on zoom and making it a priority with my fitness friends. March may have thrown us all for a loop, but it’s April now and we have to seize the moment. We are feeling on top of the world. 😭🥰⁣ ⁣ This journey has taught me to dream bigger. ⁣ I was fine with how it was, but now I can’t unknow possibilities. ⁣ ⁣ A teammate just told me that she wants to visit every large zoo in America. ⁣ ⁣ Another teammate told me her goal is to take her daughter to every Disney park. ⁣ ⁣ I love dreaming big with women who know they are made for more. ⁣ ⁣ We were able to hire someone. ⁣ We were able to invest in her cleaning business. ⁣ When most of her clientele cut off services, we were able to make it happen. ⁣ ⁣ I don’t know what magic she’s carrying around, but wow did she do an incredible job. ⁣ ⁣ I joined to become a Beachbody coach for the community. I lost 35 pounds, kept it off, built friendships and worked on my mindset. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve been able to help others do the same. That turned into dreaming bigger and having more choices.⁣ ⁣ Hiring a house cleaner was never modeled for me. ⁣ That’s not something I ever experienced growing up. ⁣ ⁣ Erik and I were dancing in our bathroom looking at our deep cleaned shower. Actually, we ran to ever part of the house and danced. ⁣ ⁣ This allows us to help someone else and help ourselves. This allows us to focus more on our family and business. ⁣ ⁣ I had no idea that having a house cleaner was even on my dream board, but now it is and it will be something we do regularly. ⁣ ⁣ Our business has been built with our hard work, diligence and skill. When I’m physically exhausted, after a long day of work, school, and doing all the other things that are important to me - I feel like I’m moving forward and turning my life into something bigger. I don’t walk 20k steps *everyday* but it’s a fun goal to hit when my day allows me to. I like to cheer other people on because it’s something we can bond over virtually. I know it’s a silly accomplishment, but there’s not much we can celebrate right now, so I will celebrate them. This isn’t forever, but I plan on showing up for people however I can.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Personally, I walk for my mental health - seeing nature and other humans (socially distanced ) reminds me that I’m not alone and we’re still alive. Sometimes I’ll listen to music, but I mostly listen to podcasts to keep me motivated, teach me new perspectives, and help me grow as a person.
