I’m seeing some progress though I have waysss to go 🙄 I did a full body with resistance bands and yes that’s Eli’s urinal 😘 ***THIS IS RANT IS ABOUT MYSELF BUT I HOPE WHOEVER READS THIS HELPS THEM ON A JOURNEY TO FINDING YOURSELF*** I know everything starts with me. I’m working on changing negative things I find unattractive not for anyone but for myself. 1️⃣ I’m a huge complainer 2️⃣ I barely follow through whether it’s things I tell myself I need to do, or telling people I’m going to do certain things for them 3️⃣ I get angry too easy, I never really had as a child or a teenager but need to fix 4️⃣ Knowing my self worth 5️⃣ I’m too damn hard on myself 6️⃣ Looking for acceptance from other people (from likes on social media, to hearing from my loved one’s “Wow India you’re doing such an amazing job!’ ) I definitely see this as the child in me always looking for my mom to tell me what a good daughter I am. No discredit to my mother! She’s amazing and I love her dearly ♥️ 7️⃣ I’m afraid to so NO which probably leads me to not following through. Which is ridiculous if I just said no to things I don’t want to do I wouldn’t look like such a flake 🤗 I wouldn’t say these are flaws cause I feel for them to be flaws it would be something beautiful that I would accept about myself, but as beliefs or things that I thought “This is how I am and deal with it.” Maybe there’s a word for it Idk but the fact I’m recognizing it and am implementing ways to change it is a good thing and I love myself for it. 4 1/2 years ago I had to learn how to make time when I didn’t have any. I just had a baby and he was 11 weeks old then. I also had a 2 and 4 year old. Time for myself was non existent. So, I thought about my day, and decided his first nap was going to be when I dedicated 30 mins to myself. Every. Day. I planned ahead. I put my workout clothes on as soon as I got out of bed. I kept my weights and gym shoes under the tv so they were always staring at me. As soon as he went down for his nap, I grabbed the play doh for the girls and set them up with their cups filled and a snack at the kitchen table. And I pushed play. Right there in my living room. I NEEDED this plan otherwise I would've used that time for to do something else and my workout would’ve never gotten done. Now, we finally get the gift of time. So make the most of it. ✨BACK + CORE Routine✨ . With the amount of sitting we’re doing by being home more, we need to keep our backs healthier and stronger than ever. . Here’s a routine I did with my workout today and some tips on what to keep in mind when doing each exercise. . 1️⃣SWAN + BREASTSTROKE- Keep the ribs down as much as you need to in order to tap into the upper back. Keep the neck long and feet heavy on the floor in order to isolate the upper back. . 2️⃣SWAN WITH TWIST- Same cues as swan + breaststroke 👆🏼but focus on the lats as well as the upper back. . 3️⃣MARCHING HIP THRUSTS - Keep the ribs taugh when bridging up and avoid collapsing on either hip when lifting the feet. Always squeeze the glutes at the top. . 4️⃣SIDE PLANK W/ INNER THIGH WORK - Keep the hips high when lowering and lifting the bottom. Shoulder and elbow should be in alignment and hips stacked. . 5️⃣SIDE PLANK W/ OUTER THIGH WORK - Keep the hips high and stacked. Elbow and shoulder I’m alignment. Lift the top leg as high as you’re able to keep alignment throughout and lower it down with control. . Repeat this circuit 3x and combine with any other routine. . Tag a friend you want to motivate and challenge. #corebyv

The fact you can see my whole set up of getting this picture makes me lol... The pump was real after my leg workout the other day. I used to think at home workouts were pointless and not effective, well, I was SO wrong. Focusing more on mind muscle connection and doing a lot of high volume and HIIT and I’ve been super sore. You have to work with what you got, improvise if needed, and push yourself to get moving and you’ll make it happen. No gains shall be lost (hopefully )!
