Scavenging around my freezer, I found these salmon steaks that were a little freezer burned, but in these times, you take what you can get and thank yourself for forgetting things in the freezer for longer than desired (haha ). . I threw the salmon steaks in a pan full of sizzling garlic and EV olive oil. After sautéing for a few minutes, they came out tender and BEAUTIFUL. ✨ I then made a fiber rich bed of whole grain pasta mixed in an artichoke sauce (Trader Joes brand ). This quick week night meal is a new favorite for sure, and only takes about a half hour to make. . Ingredients: •Salmon Steak •Whole Wheat Pasta •EV Olive Oil •Basil, Parsley, Red Pepper Flakes •Minced Garlic •Artichoke Sauce (Trader Joes ) •Grated Cheese. . Directions: -In a sauté pan, brown minced garlic in EV olive oil. Place salmon steak in pan and sprinkle basil, parsley, and red pepper flakes on top. After 5-8min, flip salmon and season the second side. Monitor and cook for another 5-8min, or until edges are browning and steak is tender but not tough, and light pink. - while salmon is sautéing, boil pasta until aldente and mix in EV olive oil and artichoke sauce. -plate and add your favorite grated cheese. . In tutti i miei programmi di allenamento, al di là dell'attività svolta dal soggetto, in determinate tipologie di lavoro da svolgere, indico dei range di lavoro per quanto riguarda la frequenza cardiaca ❤️ La frequenza cardiaca (FC ) sarà dato importantissimo ai fini della valutazione del workout prescritto, nonché, parametro fondamentale per l'ottenimento dello stimolo prefissato... I range di lavoro sono estremamente PERSONALI, vanno valutati dopo un accurata analisi fatta anche di test, per determinare non solo la frequenza a riposo, ma anche, per esempio la soglia aerobica, la soglia anaerobica e derivante accumulo di lattato... Le caxxate proferite da molti come "120bpm e fai brucia grassi..." oppure "a 150bpm faccio fiato..." lasciano il tempo che trovano perché, per farvi un esempio molto semplice, i parametri di un soggetto di 25 anni e mediamente allenato, saranno totalmente diversi da quelli di un sedentario di 50 anni...! Aujourd’hui j’aimerais parler de l’anxiété en cette période de confinement et de quelle manière elle peut nous affecter plus que d’habitude. _ Avec ce pouvoir limité de sortie on est contraint à rester à la maison, certains ont la chance d’avoir un jardin mais d’autres ont seulement un appartement et donc peuvent vite se sentir prisonnier et stressé. _ On a également plus de temps pour penser en boucle dans la journée et les pensées négatives peuvent vite nous rattraper. Il est important d’avoir une sorte de planning à nous raccrocher comme si la vie suivait son cours et il nous faut trouver un moyen quelconque de nous défouler pendant la journée peu importe avec les moyens que l’on a. Trouver une activité pour se re ancrée dans le moment présent, et faire du mieux que l’on peu pour repousser les énergies négatives. _ Quand sent tu la crise d’angoisse arrivée ? Matin? Après midi? Soir? Réveillé dans la nuit ? A memory from last years Easter trip to Inverloch. We had to cancel our trip this year out of respect for the Inverloch community and the social distancing rules. Our whole family can’t be travelling at such a fragile time and though we can’t go this Easter, we will be back. The serenity and beauty of the beach at sunset is one of my favourite things. Its also been a full moon there the past two years which has been magical to look at as it rises over the ocean. It’s a time spent with family and allows us to slow down and reconnect away from our busy lives. Missing this little oasis but so very thankful that we are all healthy and safe in our homes in Melbourne.

@stasherbag photo credit. The kitchen is the hub of the house. There are so many reasons why your kitchen should be organised. It really impacts us in a healthy productive way. The kitchen is special because we all spend a lot of time there preparing meals, kids homework, making creations, drinking coffee or making smoothies. How how many you times have you started a task and had to stop because you can’t find the utensil or ingredient you were looking for or you had brought ingredients you already have because you could not see them or you had not made a list. So create zones for prepping, cooking and have a pen and notepad to hand to write down when something runs out so you won’t have to remember. Meal plans and lists of ingredients needed to be used from the freezer and fridge are life lines for me. It takes out the stress of having to think about what to cook for dinner half an hour before. Keeping a weekly list of recipes and everyone’s favourite meals helps to rotate efficiently and manage your weekly shop better and be mindful of spending. Having lists for ingredients and recipes also gives you knowledge. Knowledge of knowing what ingredients need stepping up and which fresh food or cupboard sources could be introduced to the weekly plan. Store all your cook books and recipes and print them out and out and keep in a binder for easy reference. An organised kitchen is a cost effective kitchen. Use organisers to store and see your products you tend to buy less and no repeat shop. This includes food, utensils and kitchen gadgets and keep receipts for your big purchases in case you need to return any items. I tend to stick to the first in first out rule using the oldest to the newest items. Uncluttered counter tops and use glass jars and stashers bags for fridge and freezer items. So pretty and sustainable and they take up much less space. A clean organised kitchen is a place where you will cook more and look after your body better. It does not matter about the size of your space either if you have a tiny kitchen or a large open plan kitchen you will still benefit from cleanliness and organisation which is so much part of living well.

Drei Wochen bin ich nun schon im Home-Office und esse, schlafe, treibe Sport und arbeite in meinen vier Wänden. Das war zu Beginn eine ganz schöne Umgewöhnung, die mir nicht so leichtgefallen ist. Nach der Arbeit bin ich viel am Handy gewesen und habe die Nachrichten im Live Ticker verfolgt. Mittlerweile habe ich mich an die geänderten Umstände gewöhnt und versuche nur noch einmal am Tag die Nachrichten zu lesen, mich hauptsächlich mit den positiven Dingen zu beschäftigen, die diese schwierige Zeit hervorbringt. Und davon gibt es zum Glück eine Menge! Ich weiß jetzt, was Zoom ist, habe wohl noch nie so viel gefacetimed mit meiner Familie und Freunden, gesund gekocht und zu Youtube-Videos Sport gemacht. Doch unabhängig von diesen „Basics“ gibt eine Menge coole Dinge, die ihr während des Social Distancing zu Hause machen könnt. Ich habe sie euch im neuen Beitrag zusammengeschrieben.
