Today I'm sharing how I get the most out of @pixibeauty Glow Tonic. As you can see, I have a fair bit to keep me going. I was very kindly gifted 3 of these bottles (the large one for myself and the two smaller ones are meant for gifting on, which unfortunately we cannot do at the moment ). Using this product on my face twice weekly is the perfect way to keep my skin healthy, exfoliated and ensures my skin barrier is left unbothered. It lifts away those dead skin cells revealing brighter and radient skin, it also speeds up cell turnover, can minimise the appearance of pores, may help with acne and evens the skin tone. Now, I love using this on my face but I do actually have a few other uses for this product also. Glow Tonic is the perfect prep for fake tanning, or just for a full body exfoliation pamper! You can either sweep over body with cotton pads, or add a couple of drops to your body moisturiser. Feet! This product is perfect for keeping your feet baby soft. If I'm honest I usually neglect my feet, especially the winter months. Come spring time I'm itching to get the flip flops out, so a couple of times a week I'll give my feet a cheeky rub down with the Glow Tonic followed by a rich moisturiser or cream. Once they're looking pampered and pretty, I probably won't need to exfoliate them again until they end of summer 💁🏻‍♀️. When I first tried this product I was a little undecided about how I felt, mainly because I didn't know how to use it to correctly (I was skin a skincare newbie at this point ). I went straight in and used it twice a day. Hello over exfoliated and irritated skin!!! I definitely recommend using this product a couple of times a week and not daily, unless you have pretty tough skin. What are your thoughts on this product?

Majority of people, no matter where they are in the world, will be highly restricted on movement, access to a gym and potentially even nutritional options. These are extremely challenging times and I am empathetic of that - the reality is, we are all in this together. From the perspective of a gym owner and someone that trains I wanted to give you some advice on avoiding fat gain during a time where people will inevitably: Become less active. Become more bored at home which ultimately leads to a lack of structure with diet. Even if you are not able to push forward at an optimal rate right now, there is no reason to let yourself gain fat because if you do, once this crisis passes you will be in a worse position! These are a couple things I strongly recommend you do. Assess what your activity levels are currently like and adjust your calorie intake accordingly. For instance, if you are accustomed to training in your local gym, even with home training on limited equipment you almost certainly are not going to experience the same level of intensity. As a result, it is likely your need for energy is less. I would sustain high protein levels to protect your muscle tissue, and reduce calories from carbs and essential fatty acids. It is impossible for me to give you a specific number depends where you are at the moment. I have always been a proponent of cardio, even when someone wants to build muscle because of the health benefits and aerobic fitness it provides. I also like the fact that it helps keep you lean! Even if you are unable to do cardio outside, use the stairs for cardio, even the garden or do walking on the spot inside your home. Do something to keep your cardio levels up - I would be aiming for 30 minutes per day. It is very likely due to this lockdown your daily structure has changed, which means mentally it is also likely you're going to be more prone to eating out of boredom. Focus on creating a new structure with set meal times, so you are not letting yourself be unorganised and binge eat. Have these set times daily. OVERWHELMED. I know that’s how many of you are feeling right now.♥️ . Not only the anxiety from all the changes in routine and normality, the uncertainty, possible jobs lost and fear of everything that’s happening + could happen...but the added overwhelm of feeling like you aren’t doing enough right now when you’re stuck at home🥺 . REMEMBER: Whilst your Instagram stories may be flooded with people’s endless home workouts all day, and all the productive things they got up to ~ this is because these are the instagram-able things!!! The things people WANT to share (often with good intentions, but it isn’t their entire day. Remember ).🤞🏼 . This is NOT a competition of who can achieve the most or get the fittest. . You do not have to be productive all the time. . You are allowed to rest. To watch a movie. To read a book instead of start some project or side hustle. . You don’t have to have a crazy at-home workout routine + do HIIT workouts in your house if it’s not right for you. You can go for a walk, stretch or do some yoga. . Exercise, and keeping busy to distract yourself, can be amazing both for physical and mental health, we all know that. But sometimes it’s the opposite...sometimes what our bodies and minds need is a break. Resting. Just breathing and getting through the day. . . You are allowed to (and SHOULD! ) unfollow any accounts who make you feel guilty, bad about yourself + like you aren’t doing enough. . Be brave enough to stand up for what serves you best. Be strong in taking care of your physical AND mental health during this time. . Social distance yourself from all of the toxic content on social media that drags you down💁🏼‍♀️
