We'd be the first to tell you that we miss the beautiful creations our hardworking bartenders come up with. But! But the team are here to show you that you can concoct some awesome ones in the comfort of your own kitchen. 1. The Gimlet cocktail. Invented for sailors to drink to chase away scurvy. Gin, lime juice and sugar syrup. Easy simple and refreshing. And if you don't have fresh limes, Sarah used just a little less bottled lime juice so it's not too tart. 45ml gin (other brands available ), 20ml sugar syrup, 20ml lime juice. Stir over ice and serve up or over big rock. 2. The classic negroni. Equal measures red vermouth, Campari and gin. Stir together 15-20 times with ice. Strain into a rocks glass. Slice an orange peel and squeeze the oils into the glass, twist the peel and enjoy. Abbie expertly using a plate to strain! 30ml of all. 3. The gin sour. 45ml gin, 30ml lemon, 20ml sugar, 30ml egg whites. Abbie and the girls even had some bitters to top it off with a flourish. Bar manager Renée to hand with all the measurements. I'm sure she'd answer questions 🤔 Of course we just happen to have gin to hand. Don't get bogged down with drinking the same thing every night, it's fun to try and create your own. Maybe you could ask your partner or flattie to do it for you and pretend you're actually at a bar? Either way, we hope isolation is treating you all well, and we can't wait to have you in to show off the professionals doing it. Due to the ever changing subject of COVID-19 here in Wellington and abroad we thought it was time to update you on the current measures being taken to help protect both our guests and staff during this uncertain time and the changes we have been making to our business model. As of next week, we will be open for LUNCH and DINNER only, and we will be placing a large amount of focus on offering takeaway orders and deliveries in addition to our on premise service. Deliveries will begin from Monday the 23rd of March. Pricing is as follows and the menu is pictured above. Takeaway’s will have no minimum order requirements. The following is what we have done so far or have been doing as part of day to day practices: -We have removed eleven tables from the restaurant to give more space between guests. -We are capping the number of guests we allow in the restaurant. -We have removed our salt and pepper shakers from the tables, have thoroughly sanitized them, and will be giving them out upon request. -We have increased the sanitizer we have placed throughout the restaurant both for guests and staff. -Although we currently adhere to a strict hygiene regime, we are implementing extra precautions during this time. As more information becomes available, we will clean, clean, clean and sanitize like crazy, and do the best we can to stay positive and continue to provide you our guests with warm, friendly, attentive service during this unprecedented time.
It takes a lot to bring the Charley Noble ship down but unfortunately this is out of our hands. The restaurant will be CLOSED for service this evening and we apologise for any inconvenience. A burst water pipe means that while we have no damage, we also have no water. Which makes things a little difficult to bring you fab food, service and hydration! We hope to reopen as soon as possible and look forward to seeing you then!
